6x2 tractor units to its fleet, supplied by Iveco distributor North East Truck & Van
(NETV), which operates eight dealerships across the North and North East of

These latest deliveries join a mixed fleet of 18 commercial vehicles and have
been purchased following the successful performance of the company’s first
Stralis, which joined the fleet in January 2006.

Supplied by NETV’s dealership in Blaydon, near Newcastle, the Stralis
AS44S48TX/P and AS44S43TX/P are being used for general haulage duties
across the country and are each expected to cover up to 160,000 km a year,
operating with curtainside trailers at 44 tonnes.

James Phillips, Managing Director, says: “Our first Stralis has proven to be a top
fleet performer so we had no hesitation in placing two further orders with NETV,
just beating the Euro 4 deadline.”

Drivers at Phillips (Seahouses) have been following a personalised driving
training programme under the tuition of Horace Robinson, NETV’s own in-house
driver trainer. Horace specialises in teaching drivers how to extract the best
performance and economy from the EuroTronic gearboxes in Iveco’s heavy truck
  product range.
