About BiMBA
Beijing International MBA at Peking University (BiMBA) was established in 1998 as the first joint international MBA program in Beijing approved by the Chinese government. It is a joint educational
venture, between Peking University (Beijing, China) and its global partners, operated by China Center for Economic Research (CCER) at Peking University, which acts actively as the consultant to the Chinese government.
In 2008, BiMBA will begin its partnership with Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, ranked 22nd among B-schools worldwide by The Economist (2007) and the best in Belgium, as the degree granting institution for BiMBA. Vlerick is one of the few institutions in the world and the only one in China to hold all the three major international accreditations of business school, respectively by EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB.
BiMBA has been guided by its mission since 1998 which is to “develop into a world class MBA program at China’s best university committed to serving global values and guided by Peking University’s rich legacy”. BiMBA aims to train, develop and inspire passionate business leaders and professionals of competence, character and commitment.

Full-time International MBA Program
The Full-time International MBA program can be completed in one year. The quality of our global faculty, the culture and tradition of Peking University, the China focus and international exposure, and the promising career change of our graduates make the BiMBA MBA a unique life changing experience. We recruit students worldwide, and the current class represents around 20 countries.

Part-time International MBA Program
The Part-time International MBA is a two-year program in which participants earn an MBA degree while working. The program takes a global outlook on the field of management, emphasizing skills, insights and tools necessary for successful management in the global business world. Participants exchange their views within an intellectually stimulating environment, 70% of whom are working in leading multi-national companies from different industries. The high profile of the students not only makes their learning experience fruitful but also provides a strong network of international companies, which adds value to their life and career development. The 2008, we will recruit 100 part-time MBA students with each class size around 50. It is targeted towards executives from various cultural, academic and professional backgrounds, who have the ambition and the potential to work towards a successful management career.
Application Instruction
Class Start: 1st week of September, 2008 Application Deadline
Chinese applicants: July 15, 2008. Non-Chinese applicants: March 31, 2008. If you have difficulties to meet the deadline, please send us an email to admissions@bimba.edu.cn as early as possible for assistance. As our applications are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis and our program is usually oversubscribed, we strongly advise early applications.
Application Requirements
Bachelor degree or higher At least three years of working experience before entrance A promising GMAT score (above 600) or pass the on-campus admission test A promising TOEFL score above 100 (Internet-based), 250 (computer-based), or 600 (paper-based). As an alternative to TOEFL, IELTS above 6.5 or CET6 (College English Test Band 6) can also be accepted. Candidates who are native English speakers or who obtained their degrees in English-speaking countries are exempt from this TOEFL or equivalent requirement.

Curriculum vitae (CV)
We expect to see your educational and professional background with details in the CV. Motivation essay We shall evaluate your motivation from your statements on (1) why you are applying to BiMBA, (2) how you are qualified and how your participation would contribute to the program, (3) what your career goals and development plans are.
At least two letters of recommendation It is recommended that one of the two letters should come from a person who can provide an evaluation of your professional strengths, weaknesses, potential and overall abilities.
