New Standard Chartered Credit Card “Cash Back Program” Rewards cardholders with up to 5% cash back all year round
(Hong Kong – 7 July 2005) Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Standard Chartered”) announced today the launch of the Standard Chartered Credit Card “Cash Back Program”. The “Cash Back Program” rewards Standard Chartered credit cardholders with attractive cash back reward all year round as they spend at any merchants in town. Cardholders can earn up to 5% cash back on the retail purchase amount as they shop at Standard Chartered Preferred Merchants including Mannings, Wellcome, Broadway Photo Supply Limited, Hong Thai Travel, IKEA and Chow Tai Fook. These merchants are specially selected to cater to a range of spending needs from everyday items to higher-priced purchases, and therefore provide maximum opportunity for Standard Chartered credit cardholders to enjoy greater rewards. The cash back amount will be credited to cardholders’ credit card accounts automatically without the hassle of redemption. Cardholders can choose when and how to use the cash back reward. In addition, as a token of appreciation, Standard Chartered has introduced a “1 Billion Bonus Points-Turn-Cash Back” Offer, allowing cardholders to convert all their existing Bonus Points accumulated before 30 June into cash. This offer will last until end of July or until Standard Chartered credit cardholders have collectively redeemed 1 billion bonus points.
