SECTION II.      INTRODUCTION

Motivator         When you go to your first assignment as a 31U10 you will be required to repair
                  systems that may be in a tactical environment. To insure your safety, it is
                  important that you become familiar with the area and know what to expect while
                  you are performing your mission.

Instructional     1. During the next two weeks, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain

                  (BFA) Systems. This area is designed to simulate actual field conditions, which
                  require that you exercise caution and care during your training.

                  2. During this period of instruction, we will discuss training safety, and
                  administrative procedures. You will also be briefed on the mission of each
                  Battlefield Funtional Area (BFA).

          branch you will be training on battlefield functional areas (BFA) similar to those you
          will see at your units.

        electronic warfare operation and gather intelligence for 1st Bde. 52 Inf Div.

                         (4)     1-40 FA Bn. The mission of the 1-40 FA Bn is to provide fire
        support for 1st Bde. 52 Inf Div.

                        (5)     1-23 CAV. The mission of the 1-23 CAV Sqdn is to provide
        armor support to 1st Bde. 52 Inf Div.
