Cha Cha is a very recognizable Latin American dance of Cuban origin. It's
fun, flirtatious and playful. Many people know it for its catchy rhythm – one,
two, cha, cha, cha.

Learning how to cha cha is really not that difficult. The footwork is quite
simple and mainly focuses on shifting weight from one foot to another.

The Cha Cha is danced to music written in 4/4 time. Simply put, it can be
danced to almost any type of Latin music. It is a spot dance.

The basic steps are very simple - two slow steps and three quick steps. You

Here are the basic Cha Cha steps for men:




  1. Left foot forward
  2. Right foot in place, weight shifts to it
  3. Left foot side
  4. Right foot close
  5. Left foot side
  6. Right foot backward & left
  7. Left foot in place, weight shifts to it
  8. Right foot forward & right
  9. Left foot close
  10. Right foot side
