Storage Space Lease Agreement Storage Lockers (SOOS) & File Cabinets (SAC) Applications due by Friday, December 15, at 4:00pm
This agreement will be valid from the date of signing until April 30, 2008. This agreement may be modified at any time by the OSL, with proper notification of changes communicated to tenants in a timely manner. All recognized organizations (tenants) assigned space in the SOOS or SAC will have its primary principal representative sign a new agreement once each year if the organization has submitted a renewal application, and has been re-assigned space. 1. Any student organization recognized by UISG may apply for the use of a storage locker located in the SOOS or storage file cabinet located in the SAC. These storage options are to be used for the storage of property belonging to the student organization, not of individual members. 2. The locker key will be checked out from the SOOS receptionist, and the file cabinet key from the Iowa House Hotel front desk, and returned after usage is complete. Members must present their student ID to check out their organization’s key ring (organizations will be required to provide the SOOS receptionist with a list of organization members and phone numbers of those allowed to check out the key). Under no circumstances may keys be held over night by any member of a student organization. A $10/key/lock fee will be assessed for re-keying if any member of a student organization loses keys. 3. Organizations are prohibited from sharing their assigned space with other groups. Space will be assigned to ONE organization. 4. Items that may NOT be stored in the locker or file cabinet include, but are not limited to: perishable food, flammable liquid, money. 5. The University reserves the right to inspect lockers in cases of emergency. In situations other than emergency, the primary principal representative listed for your organization (on this document) will be contacted in advance and will be provided information about the reason for the need to inspect the space. In an emergency situation where the University or OSAC has a compelling interest to protect the health, safety or security of individuals or property in the Iowa Memorial Union or the University, inspection may be done by the University without prior notification. 6. Security of your organization’s possessions is your responsibility; proper care should be taken to avoid theft. OSAC, OSL, SOOS receptionist, and the ULC will not be responsible for replacement of personal and/or organization possessions. Please report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the SOOS receptionist or the OSL so that a work-order can be submitted to have the equipment fixed. As the primary principal representative for my organization, I understand the above Lease Agreement established for the SOOS & SAC Storage Space, agree to pass this information on to the members of my organization, and consent to being held responsible for this Agreement as an organization.
