This service agreement and contract will remain valid for future service, with the exception of any agreed upon changes in fees, visits and times.
The client agrees as follows (“I” refers to Pet Sitter): 1) I agree to provide services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services the client expressly waives any and all claims against me, unless arising from negligence on my part. 2) The client understands that all pets (where appropriate) must have a veterinarian and must have current rabies and other vaccinations. 3) I do not diagnose, give prognoses, or make therapy decisions, nor offer veterinary services. Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinarian. 4) I reserve the right to take pet(s) to a veterinarian. Client is responsible for all charges. I will make every attempt to contact client prior to taking pet to veterinarian. 5) Understandably, I will not sit for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions. In those circumstances I suggest the pet be boarded with a vet. 6) I cannot accept aggressive animals. 7) I will not walk unruly or untrained dogs. This is left up to my discretion. If I do agree to walk a dog, all dogs must be walked on leash, no exceptions. 8) I shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet that the client has let outside or has instructed the sitter to allow outside while sitter is not there. This includes pets with doggie doors and outdoor pets. 9) All pets with electronic fences must wear their collars with fresh batteries. I am not responsible for any animals that cross the perimeter. 10) Business and visiting hours fall between the hours of 8 AM and 9PM and services are usually completed during this time. 11) I will not accept time specific calls as I cannot guarantee specific times accurately. A three hour window is acceptable. If a pet is in need of medication, it will be administered as close to the prescribed times as possible. 12) I reserve the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations. 13) I will not mail keys nor will I be responsible for keys that the client has mailed to me. There is a fee for key pick up and return. 14) I am not responsible for client’s home or personal property if instructed by client to leave doors unlocked. 15) Client agrees to allow use of pet’s picture on website for promotional purposes. 16) Client is responsible for making arrangements for snow removal. Visits may not be made in snow covered driveways and/or walkways because of safety concerns. 17) Payment is expected when services are rendered. A deposit may be required. In the event of additional unforeseen visits or other costs (such as food, supplies, or vet fees), payment is expected within 5 days of the completion of services or a late charge of $20 will be applied. 18) All returned checks will be charged an additional $20 service fee and the client must pay the entire invoice and all applicable fees promptly via cash or money order. 19) A fuel surcharge of $5/visit for visits greater than 15miles, and $10/visit for visits greater than 30 miles from sitters home will be applied to daily charges. 20) Client is responsible for all charges if client neglects to cancel a scheduled visit prior to sitter’s arrival at client’s home.
