Spaghetti Sauce in Crock Pot
Document Sample

Spaghetti Sauce in the Crock Pot 1 lb ground sirloin 2 or 3 sweet Italian sausage links, removed from their casing 1 medium brown or sweet onion, small chop 4 cloves garlic chopped 1 tsp salt ½ tsp pepper 2 jars favorite spaghetti sauce (I like Prego with mushrooms OR the huge can of Contadina spaghetti sauce from Costco) 1 small can tomato paste 1 large can crushed tomatoes 1 tbs sugar ½ cup grated parmesan cheese In sauté pan, add ground sirloin, Italian sausage and chopped onion. Brown up. Add to crock pot along with all the other ingredients. Stir. Cook on low for 7- 8 hours. This will make a ton of sauce. You can freeze the leftovers or make lasagna or stuffed shells with it, later in the week. Variations: If you need to sneak more veggies in for your family, you can add diced up zucchini or mushrooms to the crock pot. By the time it cooks for 8 hours, you can’t even tell there are vegetables in there.
