                                  REGULATIONS
1.       Judging will start at 8:30am for Jumping Events, 9 am for other events.
2.       When an exhibit is not up to show standard the awarding of a prize will be at
         the Judges discretion.
3.       Decision of Judges is final.
4.       Exhibits must be named as to kind or class.
5.       Protests will be dealt with by a special committee.
6.       All horses to be haltered and led onto ring.
7.       The Society reserves the right to substitute trophies of equal value for cash
         prizes.
8.       No persons other than officials and competitors will be allowed inside the ring.
9.       Horses must parade on show day or prize money may be forfeited.
10.      The Committee will give every possible facility to exhibitors and every care will
         be taken of exhibits, but no responsibility will be incurred by the Society.
11.      The Society will not be responsible for any accident that might be caused
         through or by an exhibit, including the incorrect tethering or horses and this
         shall be a condition of entry onto the ground.
12.      The Committee reserves the right to combine or delete classes if necessary.
13.      The Committee reserves the right to alter the grouping of a horse(s) in the
         jumping events if they see fit.
14.      Exhibitors wishing to insure animals in transit should make their own
         arrangements.
15.      Due to the lack of ground space, exhibitors are advised that there is limited
         space available for warm-ups. It is advised that competitors make use of the
         grounds prior to events commencing for this purpose.
16.      No horse-boxes/trucks to be parked on the main arena. All vehicles to be
         parked in the allocated parking areas.
                        REGULATIONS
                      HORSE SECTIONS
This show is not registered with the E.F.A.

Definition of a Novice: All horses (riders) which have won any class in the
same discipline competing singly at any Show, with the exception of a
consolation class, are not considered to be novice.

Definition of a Local: Local competitions are open only to competitors whose
residence makes this show their closest agricultural show. Entries from riders
not considered local by the Chudleigh Show Society will not be accepted.

Definition of an Intermediate Rider: Riders who are able to walk and trot
without a leading rein are considered intermediate riders. Will not be required
to canter.

Family Pony: Two or more riders bareback.

Small Ponies: Ponies are to be 12.2h and under and ridden by a child 14
years and under.

Hunter Classes: Horses may enter both Open Saddle classes and Hunter
classes, however, if they win the Champion or Reserve in their respective open
saddle class, thay may not compete in the Hunter Classes.

Championship Classes: First placegetters in the respective classes are
eligible to compete for Championship. Second placegetter to the horse (rider)
winning the Championship may compete for the Reserve Championship, and
should enter the ring following the sashing of the Champion.

Supreme Champion: Winners of Championships are eligible to compete for
the Supreme Champion Awards.

Safety Regulation: All riders shall wear approved protective headgear and
footwear when mounted anywhere on the ground. Horses when tied-up must
be securely tied to a solid fixture which they cannot pull away.

Drugs: The rules regarding forbidden substances apply.

  guide only. Competitors and horses in classes 1-55 are not eligible to compete
except for classes 66-73 . Riders in Lead Rein classes are not eligible to compete in
   Intermediate Classes and vice versa.. See Regulations page for definitions of
              Intermediate Rider, Local Combination and Family Pony.

Horses may only compete in two height classes and one championship
or scurry event.

Class 2 open only to horses that have never won a jumping event at any
show.

A lunch break will be held at 12.30pm during which time the Chudleigh
Cup will be run. Jumping will recommence shortly after 1pm.
