This Energy Savings Calculator is available to compute motor savings based on comparing two identical motor ratings with different full load efficiencies. To the calculator you will need to know the efficiencies of the motors to be evaluat the total power cost, and the operating hours. You should use the customer's total power cost including demand charges, taxes, etc. For more insight into the total cost of power, please see e-GEK-M1019 and review the information under "How to calculate annual savings."

The table is based on X$D Ultra nominal efficiencies versus EPAct efficiency. The calculations assume a power cost of $0.07 per kilowatt-hour and three shifts per day of usage, or 8760 hours of operation per year.
