                 #16 Nathan Brochtrup racing update

The 2007 Nokia Australian Motocross Championship is turning out to be a
test of endurance for both Man and machine. The Nokia MX series has now completed
three exhilarating rounds across the country and has Team Axis Ficeda Utopia rider
Nathan Brochtrup sitting in the top ten in the Pro Open Championship for 2007 with
55 points for outright ninth position.

Brochtrup “My motocross this season is gaining momentum, I have broken into the
top ten and I want to build on this achievement and push to be the leading privateer
in 2007 ”.

The 2007 Nokia MX series has been a mixed bag for Brochtrup onboard the Axis
Motosports prepared Honda CRF 450. Nathan had a great start to the season at
Broadford Victoria, where in Moto 1 he finished in 7th position in the star studded Pro
Open field finishing ahead of some of the more fancied opponents. Moto 2 was not to
Brochtrup’s race, with the track heavily rutted and extremely dusty Nathan crashed
heavily late in the race only to remount towards the tail of the pack and finish the
race in 28th position.

Round 2 saw the long haul to Tasmania for the Team Axis Ficeda Utopia rider.
Brochtrup was suffering from influenza and felt physically drained, but no excuses
were made from the talented rider.

Brochtrup “We are all in the same boat be it the Flu or injuries, I need to be smart
and look at the big picture and build championship points “.

Some smart racing saw a fatigued Brochtrup onboard the Honda CRF 450 add some
valuable Championship points to his tally and sit just outside the top ten after
finishing 11th overall on the day.

A well earned two week break and then up to sunny Queensland for Round 3 of the
Nokia MX series at Connondale nestled in the hinterland above the Sunshine Coast. A
recuperated Brochtrup was back to his best with some good results at the natural
terrain course finishing in 7th position in Moto 1 and 10th position in Moto 2 after
crashing. These results took Nathan into the top ten in the Pro Open championship in
9th position outright.

Brochtrup “I have a great race bike this season, the Axis Motorsports Honda CRF
450 has the speed to mix it with the front runners and my results are starting to
“I am looking forward to a home round in Newcastle to perform in front of my fans
and sponsors”.

Axis Motorsports owner Andrew Hopson was also impressed with Nathan Brochtrup
results from the first three rounds.
“It is still early days in the Championship with seven rounds to complete, but Brocky
is starting to string some solid performances together and with his dedication and
determination should be able push towards being the leading privateer rider by
seasons end”.
“Our sponsors play an important part in making this Team competitive and Nathan
and I take this opportunity to thank them for their help this season”.
