                                   Life Drawing Sessions

What – These are untutored life drawing classes for artists wishing to develop their
observational and mark making skills, based on the figure. A peer group critique will be
held at the end of each session of the work to assist in development.

Who – These sessions are open to interested participants from ages 16 years and up.
There are only 10 places available due to spatial restrictions. Bookings are essential.

Where – The Stanthorpe Regional Art gallery will host the sessions.

When – Sessions start at 5:30pm Wednesday the 25th November. To be scheduled upon
demand. Sessions run for approx two hours. Set up is from 5:15pm.

Cost – Each session will cost $12 per person for both Warwick & Stanthorpe galley
members and $15 per person for non members.

Required Materials - Students are expected to bring:

Drawing board (Minimum size A2 or 45cm X 60 cm)
Dry drawing materials – Such as graphite sticks, charcoal, conte, pastel, oil pastel,
pencil. No wet mediums please.
4 Bulldog clips (to hold your paper to your board)
Drawing Paper (Minimum A2 size - Butchers paper will be supplied at no cost)

Session Structure – The first 45 minutes will be a series of short, timed poses, ranging from
half a minute and leading to a 20 minute pose.

A 15 minute coffee break

One 40 minute session

10 minute critique
