       My pussy cat is such a lovely pet -
       So soft and gentle, cuddly and yet,
 If you’ve got a cat – I bet she’s just like mine,
      Chasing little birdies all of the time.
          Like Lola! Such a naughty cat!
           Oh, Lola! Shouldn’t do that!
                     Oh, Lola!

       I put a bell around my Lola’s neck.
      It makes a tinkly sound so I protect
  All the animals and birds she likes to chase,
  They hear the bell and then they can escape
         From Lola! Such a naughty cat!
           Oh, Lola! Shouldn’t do that!
                     Oh, Lola!

        I love my Lola – such a lovely cat.
             She keeps me company.
But I don’t forget other creatures need our help,
     To get away from cats they cannot see.
          Like Lola! Such a naughty cat!
           Oh, Lola! Shouldn’t do that!
                     Oh, Lola!

    That’s why I keep my Lola in at night and
  I protect the creatures she might frighten.
       That’s why she wears a little bell,
        So the birds and animals can tell
          It’s Lola! Lola’s on the prowl!
        It’s Lola! You can’t catch us now!
