PANTHER WENATCHEE NOVEMBER 10 BULLETIN HIGH SCHOOL 2008 14, NO SCHOOL TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH - VETERAN'S DAY! WHS Band Boosters winter craft fair is Saturday, December 6th - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you are interested in having a booth at the craft fair, pick up a registration form in the administration office or contact Carol Kovach 665-6806. If you just want to come purchase those special handmade gifts come to Wenatchee High School Commons and do your shopping and support the WHS Band Boosters. Are you interested in theater, film-making, visual art or creative writing?  Would you like to work with professionals in the field to develop your talents in one of these areas?  If so, please attend one of the Brown Bag Lunches in the Career Center on Monday, November 10 to learn more about the offerings this summer at Centrum located in Port Townsend.  Martha Worthley, the Young Artist Project Manager, will be here to answer your questions and share information about this exciting program that is sponsored by OSPI and the Washington State Arts Commission.  Check it out at www.centrum.org/youth/hs. PANTHER CLUB MEETINGS: 1. Equestrian Club meeting Wednesday, November 12th at 3:15 p.m. in Mrs. Symonds' room 259. Bring completed registration and receipt. We will be electing officers.   BOOK DRIVE! A former student, Kevin Parkins is organizing this for Head Start. He is their AmeriCorps volunteer.  Bring in your new and gently used books for toddlers through 5 years olds. This book drive is to be a competition against Eastmont and ends on Dec 4. We have a box up here in the library that is for this book drive. We need you, WHS. Let's help Head Start.   CAREER CENTER CORNER: JOBS/COMMUNITY SERVICE 1. "The Wenatchee Wild Hockey Team is looking for Volunteer Interns to help with Wenatchee Wild Games.  For contact information and dates of games, come to the Career Center!" 2. "The Performing Arts Center will be hosting the annual Festival of Trees November 21st - 23rd from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. They are looking for students to help with general admission and working tables. If interested, please come to the Career Center for contact information." 3. "Town Toyota Center ticket booth will be honoring the 2 for 1 promotion for students tickets.  Students purchasing the tickets must show their ASB card to receive the promotion price.  All seats are in the "Wild Zone". " Juniors and Seniors!   We cordially invite you to attend Lunch Bunch!  College representatives come to share about their school and visit with you.  Come to as many as you'd like.... bring your lunch....ask many questions!  All of the Lunch Bunch sessions will take place in the Career Center and occur during both lunches, unless otherwise listed.  Mark your calendars now for those which are already scheduled!  More will be scheduled!!
