                                                              Many years, and pounds ago, I used to run on the Cross Coun-
                                                              try team in school. My main sport was Basketball in the win-
                                                              ter months. I ran Cross Country in the fall to get into shape for
                                                              the upcoming basketball season. Even though Basketball was
                                                              my passion, cross country taught me many important things I
                                                              needed to learn about athletics, training and fitness. It also
                                                              taught me much about myself, life and ministry!

                                                              Cross Country was unique to other sports in many ways;

                                                                     ·    It was an individual race even though you were on a
                                                                     ·    It didn’t take place in a stadium in front of cheering
                                                                          crowds to spur you on, like Track & Field…you needed
