           Happy New Year!
Welcome to our new monthly newsletter; watch out for news bulletins on upcoming club events,
training venues and times and much much more.

Our aim with this newsletter is to provide a simple single sheet sort of thing that can easily be pinned to
a fridge for reference. We aim to provide information on upcoming races and training sessions for the
month, together with headlines and achievements from the preceding month.

           2009 Christmas Party
Thank you to all who attended and survived the freezing temperature on Saturday 19th December at
Plymouth Albion! We will be looking at a change of venue for this year’s Christmas party. Thanks
again to Brian Soole for organising the event. Going forward, Nick Chislett has volunteered to be our
Social Secretary so watch this space for some fun social events to be arranged soon!! If anyone has any
           ideas please let Nick know.

Brian & Richard Become Life Members
Brian Soole & Richard Warne have been made life members due to their many years of service and
dedication to the club. Brian & Richard have both been involved with the Club and the Committee for
a long time and have been instrumental in ensuring the club continues to thrive.

           Quote of the Month
"Running is not, as it so often seems, only about what you did in your last race or about how many
miles you ran last week. It is, in a much more important way, about community, about appreciating all
the miles run by other runners, too." -Richard O'Brien
