October: Classact Newsletter
‘Let’s make a song and dance
about it’
The Story so far...
Since September the children have been exploring the story of the Selfish
Giant. The children have learnt action songs, visited the Giants ‘imaginary’
garden, and even met the Giant!
We have just begun our second creative story about a bear whose home
mysteriously has vanished and is then forced to work in a factory, as the public don’t
believe that he truly is a bear. We hope to showcase some of this work in a short
performance in the future.
As well as exploring these stories, the children have learnt new skill in mime, singing,
freeze frames, acting, percussion circles (exploring rhythm and pulse) and have been
involved in team building games. Everyone has participated in all activities and have
already started to make new friends which is great to see!
Chip the Bear says – Well done everyone, I have really enjoyed watching the
great
sessions. I particulary enjoyed your great ideas for the action song, puppets
and listening to the music you created. Looking forward to even more fun!
Rianna, after
Thanks to Amber, Rianna, Anna and Ben for looking after me , i had a
great time. From Chip

mornings and are now offering a free taster session for any new members that you recommend, be it
friends or family. And if your friend comes along to a taster session, you will have one free session
too!!
Simply, fill out the name of the person(s) you have recommended and when they come for their first
