HOSPITAL SHIP UGANDA REUNION 2010 The 2010 Hospital Ship Uganda Reunion will be held at lunchtime on board HMS WARRIOR in Portsmouth Historical Dockyard on SUNDAY APRIL 18th. The Event will be open to all who served, sailed or were medically treated on board The Hospital Ship Uganda during The Falklands War 1982: QARNNS, P&O, RN Medical & Technical Teams, RM Stretcher Bearers/musicians. 1/7th Gurkhas & 16th Field Ambulance included. Husbands, wives/ partners welcome. Cost: £20 per head, £10 per head for all former patients. This will include entry fee and up to 5 hours on board HMS Warrior, a “standing finger-buffet lunch”, all soft drinks including tea/coffee etc, limited bar, tours round the ship, documentation and our small administration charge. NOTE: OUR FUNCTION WILL BE HELD IN THE CABLE DECK AREA OF THE SHIP. THERE ARE ONLY 60 PLACES AVAILABLE AND WE EXPECT THEM ALL TO BE TAKEN BY CHRISTMAS 2009. APPLICATIONS WILL BE ON FIRST SERVE BASIS. An overnight accommodation package has been negotiated with Premier Inn Port Solent PO6 4SA (for sat nav) for the night of Saturday April 17th. This includes a budget supper Saturday from 1930, and Sunday continental breakfast at cost of approx. £80 per couple based on two persons sharing. Single rate £69. Rig: “ Ship Rig”: Slacks/polos/ especially flat comfortable shoes as there is limited seating available in the cable deck area. We will be on board for 5 hours! Lunch will be served from 1230. Tours of the ship will fit around our requirements. There will be a group photograph on the top deck approx 1500. High water Portsmouth 1450.The ship is afloat!
