The Old Mill HOTEL & RESTAURANT Tel: 01377 267284 email: email@example.com www.old-mill-hotel.co.uk A VERY SPECIAL OCCASION Welcome to the Old Mill Hotel & Restaurant Whatever the event you wish to celebrate, we at the Old Mill are totally dedicated to tailoring to your needs, to enable you to have the day you have looked forward to for many months. We have many rooms available to the public, three of which are licensed for civil ceremonies, such as marriage and child naming. However, they are also available just to simply gather friends and family to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, engagements or Christmas parties. The hotel is set in outstanding scenery and is ideal for receptions of all kinds lending itself beautifully for photographs both indoors and outside on the lawns with trees and flowering plants as a backdrop. Our excellent chef Simon Philips-Hague will always create a culinary delight which you will remember for its excellence in taste and presentation. Any food intolerance can be catered for as all our food is fresh local produce, so we know what is in each dish and can avoid specific ingredients such as gluten, nuts etc. Within the hotel there are three rooms which can be used for wedding ceremonies. These are:- The Millers Room This room, according to those who used to work at the Mill when it was a working farm attached to the Corn Mill, is where the farm hand and the millers used to have their lunch sat together on bales of straw and sacks of corn. Ideal for smaller less formal ceremonies; this room holds approximately 30 guests seated in a church style arrangement and is a very cosy snug room located immediately off the “Courtyard Bar”. Room The Hay Wane Room This room is directly off the main dining room and was originally the hay store area of the old farm house. With the most amazing views over the Yorkshire Wolds this is an extremely romantic room, ideal for smaller groups of 30 to 40 guests seated in a church style arrangement. With its many mirrors allowing everyone to enjoy the scenery, it has proved to be a photographs dream lending itself to dreamy, romantic photographs of the couple with a backdrop of beautiful greenery. The Granary The original farm building where the sweepings from the mill stone where used to create the most amazing granary bread. This is the largest room and can seat 50 guests in a church style seating arrangement. This room also has stunning views across the Wolds and over the garden. Part of the original farmhouse wooden floor has been uncovered and restored creating not only a convenient dance floor for evening receptions, but a quaint churchy feel to the room. The Courtyard Bar As the name would suggest, this area used to be the courtyard to the working farm, which when the corn mill was decommissioned, became home to the hounds for the Middleton hunt. With its beautiful stained glass windows pouring coloured light into the bar area when the sun is shining, the bar has a warm and intimate feel about it. We have a full licence and people are welcome to call in for a drink at any time. This is a perfect place for your guests to congregate while the photographer is doing their thing.
