Wealth Accumulation Analysis This template allows you to analyze your net worth to help you determine if you are doing a good job accumulating wealth. There are two basic steps to follow in performing this analysis. First you must estimate your annual realized income. This is income you receive. Don't include "paper gains" like unrealized capital gains on stocks or gifts you haven't yet received. The second step involves estimating your present net worth. You do that by entering your best estimates for assets and liabilities. Be sure to also enter your age. The template calculates what your net worth should be based on an accepted financial rule of thumb formula: (Age multipled by realized pretax annual household income) Divided by 10 If your actual net worth is less than the projected amount, that is a signal that you need to employ strategies to save and invest more of your annual income. This template also calculates your annualized realized income as a percentage of your net income. Over time you want to see that percentage get smaller.Wealth Accumulation Analysis <-Enter name in cell to the left <-Enter date in cell to the left Annual Realized Income Net Worth Worksheet Monthly wages, salary Property Assets Liabilities Dividends and interest Residence Home mortgage Other Vacation home Other mortgage Total monthly Income Furnishings Bank loans Other Income (Annual Amounts) Jewelry and art Auto loans Business income Automobiles Credit cards Capital gains Other Personal loans Other Equity Assets Other Other Real estate Total Liabilities Other Stocks Other Bonds Total other income Mutual funds Annuities Total annual realized income Business equity Cash Reserve Assets Summary Net Worth Analysis Checking account Total Assets Your Age Savings account Total Liabilities Actual Net Worth CDs What Your Net Worth Should Be Money market Actual as a % of Projected Other Realized Income as % of NW Total Assets Net Worth
