									An Information Technology Services company, located in NYC, is looking for a Payroll Subject Matter
Expert for a short term project (5 Weeks). The position will require 1-2 days per week only
Mandatory experience:
--Must be an Expert in Big “4” / Big “5” type consultant with experience implementing ERP Payroll
(PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP, Oracle Payroll, Ceridian, etc.) solutions for large (1000+ employee), preferably
Government, organizations.
--This is a sharp senior Payroll solutions specialist with at least 15 years of current experience successfully
evaluating Payroll business processes, determining and ranking/evaluating requirements, recommending
process improvements, completing gap analyses, translating requirements into specific ERP software
terminology and leveraging software to serve improved processes.
--Must have solid hands-on knowledge of complex payroll business processes, know the pros and cons of
the major large Payroll software solutions players and be able and willing to confidently identify, evaluate
and recommend alternative solutions and explain reasoning.
--Must have excellent analytical skills including the ability to ask the right questions efficiently and
effectively (“cut to the chase”), in an appropriate manner.
--Very strong preference will be shown to candidates with experience in the Government sector, Bank
Reconciliation, Union Services, Check Processing, W-2 Wage and Tax Statement Processing, Ordered
Payroll Deductions, Federal, State and Local regulation, employment tax, labor law, payroll laws and
Employee Self Service.
Desirable experience:
--Excellent functional and good technical knowledge of large scale third party ERP Payroll software
solutions (PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP, Oracle Payroll, Ceridian, etc.)
--Strong knowledge base of the pros and cons of these solutions.
--Extensive knowledge of and experience with complex, large-scale payroll processes for large
organizations: strongly prefer Government experience.
--Ability to absorb information quickly, generate well-reasoned alternative recommendations, confidently
identify,    evaluate      and     recommend       alternative    solutions     and     articulate   reasoning.
--Ability to identify business process and software solution risk areas and make appropriate
recommendations to mitigate those risks.
--Candidates must be organized, detail oriented and posses excellent communication skills.
--Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferred.
--American Payroll Association Certified Payroll Professional strongly preferred.
--Candidates must be able to pass a Background Check, which will be conducted once an offer of
employment has been extended.
