GTM ensures continuity in international
marketing

Frankfurt am Main, 3 February 2010 – The weeks are counting         The largest

down to the 36th Germany Travel Mart™ (GTM), the largest
                                                                    marketplace for
annual event for Germany's inbound tourism industry. The            international
                                                                    marketing
German National Tourist Board (GNTB) expects more than 500
international buyers and over 350 service providers from the
inbound tourism, transport and hotel sectors.

Petra Hedorfer, Chief Executive Officer of the GNTB: "The GTM
has established itself as the cornerstone of our sales activities
for incoming travel to Germany among representatives of the
international tourism industry. 86 per cent of service providers
and 98 per cent of buyers expressed a high level of satisfaction
after last year's GTM in Rostock with regard to the calibre of
meetings and the deals closed. For medium-sized enterprises, in
particular, the GTM is the most important annual sales platform.
Which is why we will maintain our commitment to holding the
event at a new location in Germany every year."

The 36th GTM from 18 to 20 April 2010 will be hosted by Mainz       GTM venues
                                                                    selected up to
Marketing together with Wiesbaden and Frankfurt. In 2011
                                                                    2015
Bonn, Cologne and Düsseldorf will be joint organisers of the
event.

The GNTB invited proposals from Germany's cities and regions
and has now selected its GTM venues for the coming years:
Leipzig in 2012, Stuttgart in 2013, Bremen in 2014 and Thuringia
in 2015.
Petra Hedorfer commented: "We are sending a clear signal to
buyers and exhibitors. By staging the GTM every year, the
GNTB is putting the emphasis on continuity in marketing, which
is exactly what we need in order to secure long-term growth in
inbound tourism."

The GTM Germany Travel Mart™ is the world's biggest B2B marketplace for
incoming tourism to Germany and one of the most important tools in the sales
portfolio of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB). This annual workshop
has taken place since 1972 in different locations and regions in Germany. The
GNTB is staging the 36th GTM in the Rhine-Main region from 18 to 20 April.
Mainz Marketing is hosting the event together with Wiesbaden and Frankfurt.
