           Show opens 8.00am. Obedience Judging starts 10.00am.
        Show will close half an hour after all judging has been completed.

   Entry Fees: First entry per dog per class £4.00 (if entered in breed these
       are classed as subsequent entries). Subsequent entries £2.00

                               CUPS AND TROPHIES
Would all exhibitors please note that class trophies will only be presented to fully
paid up members of The Northern Belgian Shepherd Dog Club. All other Cups
are available to all exhibitors. Trophies will be listed in full in the Show catalogue.

    All cheques and postal orders must be crossed and made payable to ‘The
    Northern Belgian Shepherd Dog Club’ and must be suitable for immediate
 presentation. Post-dated cheques will be deemed to be unpaid entries and may
                            be returned to exhibitors.

                           RULES AND REGULATIONS (OBEDIENCE)

These rules and regulations are to be read in conjunction with the Kennel Club
Obedience Show regulations G under which this show is licensed. It is the responsibility
of everyone entering this show to make themselves familiar with Kennel Club G
Regulations, available from the Kennel Club.

1.   Dogs entered at Kennel Club licensed Obedience shows must be registered at the Kennel
     Club in accordance with Kennel Club Regulations for Classification and Registration B.

2.   Entry is limited to Belgian Shepherd Dogs.

3.   Dogs which have won an Obedience Certificate or obtained any award that counts towards
     the title of Obedience Champion under the rules of any governing body recognised by the
     Kennel Club are not eligible for entry in this Show.

4.   In classes without a full running order dogs will be received until one hour after the
     commencement of judging (11.00am) after which no dogs may be received except under
     unforeseen and exceptional circumstances and by special permission of the Show

5.   There is no prize money on offer at this show

6.   The Committee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries.

7.   All dogs registered and resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority
     to Compete number before entry to the show/event can be made. All overseas entries
     without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor.

8.   Animals allowed in Event. No animal other than one officially entered shall be brought into
     the precincts of a Dog Show during its continuance, except any dog registered to assist the
     disabled, or dogs required for educational or instructional purposes, or by permission of the
     General Committee.

9.  Puppies under six calendar months of age on the first day of the show are not eligible for
    competition at Kennel Club licensed Obedience Shows
10. A dog shall be disqualified and removed from the Show if it is:-
    (a)   a bitch in season,
    (b)   suffering from any infectious or contagious disease
    (c)   interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent,
    (d)   of such temperament or is much out of hand as to be a danger to the safety of any
          person or other animal:
    (e)   likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues competing.

11. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time within
     the boundaries of the Show.

12. Should a judge be unable to fulfil the appointment to judge the Committee reserves the right
     to appoint another judge

13. No competitor shall impugn the decision of the Judge or Judges.

 14. Should circumstances so dictate, the Society, in consultation with the judges, may alter
    arrangements as necessary. Such changes and the circumstances surrounding them must
    be reported to the Kennel Club.

 15. All offers of sponsorship or donation must be included with the name of the sponsors.
 16. In the case of a dog owned in partnership and entered in Members’ classes or competing for
    members’ Sepecials each partner must at the time of entry be a member of the Society.

 17. The use of cooking stoves in the proximity of the tenting and benching areas is forbidden
    except as authorized by the Show Management.

 18. No modifications will be made to this schedule except by permission of the General
    Committee of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press
    wherever possible.

 19. Not for competition entries will be accepted for dogs aged four calendar months and over.
    Dogs must be Kennel Club registered with their full details recorded on the entry form.

    Your dog is vulnerable and AT RISK if left in a vehicle in high temperatures and evn on
    days considered as slightly warm. Please take care of your dog.

 21. An exhibitor (or competitor) whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should
    take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met and should not
    knowingly put their dogs’ health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or
    otherwise. A breach of this Regulation may be referred to the General Council for
    disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations.

                          DEFINITIONS OF CLASSES (OBEDIENCE)

 1. Dogs are ineligible to compete at Limited Show which have won an Obedience Certificate or
    obtained any award that counts towards the title of Obedience Champion under the rules of
    any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club. Obedience Champions are only
    eligible to compete in Class C at Open and Championship Shows.

 2 A dog must be entered in the lowest scheduled class for which it is eligible and may also be
   entered in another class if desired, one special class excepted.

PRE-BEGINNERS To compete in Pre-beginners a handler or dog must not have won a First
              Prize in Pre-beginners or Beginners nor gained a third place or above in any
              other obedience class.

BEGINNERS          To compete in Beginners a handler or dog must not have won a total of two
                   or more First Prizes in Beginners Class, or one First Prize in any other
                   Obedience class. (Pre-beginners excepted).

NOVICE             For dogs which have not won two First Prizes in Obedience Classes (Pre-
                   beginners and Beginners excepted).

TEST A             For dogs that have not won 3 First Prizes in Classes A, B and Open Class C
                   in total.

DOG FOULING – Any owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to
remove immediately any fouling caused by their dog(s) and/or any grooming waste at any
Kennel Club licensed show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event
including car and caravan parks and approaches.

                           Cleaning materials will be available.

Would exhibitors please note that dogs should not be left unattended for longer than is
necessary within the precincts of the venue.

In the interest of safety it is requested that exhibitors, spectators and those in charge of children
ensure that all children are kept under strict parental control at all times. Injury sustained to or
damage caused by children at the show is the responsibility of the persons in charge of children
and The Northern Belgian Shepherd Dog Club will accept no liability for such damage or injury.
