									Student Tutorial: Moodle Help Desk
* Using the Student Help Desk *

   1. From the home page http://moodle.lattc.edu; Click on the Student Help Desk icon.




   2. Once you click on the Student Help Desk icon, a new page will appear displaying the
      Live Help Desk page.
        When this is GREEN it indicates that Live Help Desk is ONLINE: Service is
         available.




        When this is RED it indicates that Live Help Desk is OFFLINE: Service is
         temporarily unavailable.




3. ASKING FOR HELP when Live Help Desk is ONLINE:
          TYPE Question Here:




4. After you have Typed your Question press the ENTER key on your keyboard to send
   message:




5. After you press the Enter Key your message will be displayed in the message area:
6. Once your message is visible in the message area the LIVE HELP DESK operator will
   be able to view your message and then respond to you:




         To continue asking Questions repeat steps 3 through 6


7. ASKING FOR HELP when Live Help Desk is OFFLINE:
         You have the option of SELF HELP TUTORIALS or submitting a TROUBLE
          TICKET when the Live Help Desk is Offline:




8. To view the SELF HELP TUTORIALS click on the its descriptive title to view the
   tutorial:




9. To submit a TROUBLE TICKET click on the its descriptive title to open the form:
         When you submit a Trouble Ticket make sure to check any box and fill out all
          areas that apply: (Sample Trouble Ticket)




10. Once you have filled out the TROUBLE TICKET click the submit button at the bottom:




         Once the Trouble Ticket has been submitted, LATTC Online Department will
          review your submission, look into the issue and send you an update by Email on
          the status of your submitted Trouble Ticket.
11. In addition to SELF HELP TUTORIALS and submitting a TROUBLE TICKET for
    help you have the option of CALLING the Live Help Desk when it is offline:
