   Show History:
    MidEast Watch & Jewellery show was first introduced in 1993 and over the years it has
    grown as a very well established show in the whole Middle East region. This event is
    open to both trade and direct buyers and it has achieved as the most popular and well
    attended show in the region. The show has, over the decades, gained reputation and
    acclaim as the Middle East’s longest running watch & jewellery event. It is, therefore,
    not surprising that the event boasts of an exhibitor retention rate of over 90%, one of
    the highest in the region.
    MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show is the Middle East’s leading exhibition for jewellery
    and precious time-pieces. It provides the perfect platform for global and regional
    Jewellers to meet buyers from the Gulf, North Africa, India and beyond.
    MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show is a highly acclaimed jewellery show with a proven
    record in delivering attractive business opportunities to its participants. Every edition of
    the MidEast Watch & Jewellery show attracts wholesalers, importers, manufacturers
    and retailers from all over the world, providing the perfect platform for both suppliers
    and buyers.
    The 27th edition of MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show, held from 27 to 31 October 2009,
    was the biggest of all the editions till date with over 450 exhibitors from 25 countries
    and over 16,000 sq.m. inside exhibit space. The show registered 54,859 visitors over
    the 5 day event.

    During the 5 days show attracted a total of 54,859. (982 traders from 32 countries,
    53,877 direct buyers/consumers, 731 VIP’s, 92 Press & Media personnel)

   Visitor Promotion:
    Over 120,000 trade, general public invitations and flyers were mailed out as well as distributed.
    Exhibitors and show sponsors helped and developed more distribution and mailing of the show
    invitations.
    Personalized invitations sent to over 9,000 VIP’s.
    A stall at Sahara Centre was organized, where show flyers were distributed to the Mall outlets
    and Mall visitors over a period of three weeks to attract more visitors to the show.
    The show had a wide media coverage by Editorials as well as advertisements in the following
    trade media, magazines, newspapers and exhibition catalogues all over the world.

   Highlights:
    Visitors were offered a wide range of choices in gold, diamond, pearl, silver jewellery
    and sets, gems, precious stones, loose pearls, pearl sets, crystals, watches and
    jewellery displays.

   Special attractions:
    Fabulous, valuable prizes during the show. On every purchase of Dhs. 500, visitors had
    the chance to qualify for a daily raffle draw, where fabulous gifts were given away in
    prizes. The raffle draw and prizes was monitored by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce
    & Industry.
    Hong Kong Pavilion at the show offered attractive gifts which included Tiger Eye Stone
    Rosaries and Fresh Water Pearl Bracelets to first 500 visitors daily and five lucky
    shoppers won high-value prizes in daily raffle draw.
    Attractive offers and good prices on jewellery creations, precious stones and watches,
    and gifts & raffle draw prizes were among several other key attractions that attracted
    more visitors to the show.
