Business Partnership Agreement with Northwest VEG
The purpose of the business partnership membership is to nurture affinity relationships with businesses in the Portland-Vancouver area, fostering a mutually beneficial experience for both Northwest VEG and the business partners. The business will receive: v A description of the business and contact information in the newsletter soon after its joining, and annually (updated) thereafter, upon renewal. This description shall be no longer than 200 words and shall be provided by the business, subject to revision by the newsletter editor. v The business’s logo and brief description (100 words max) linked to the Membership page of the Northwest VEG website. A link will be provided to the business’s website (if applicable). v The business will be listed (name, location, phone) each month in the Northwest VEG newsletter, and readers will be encouraged to patronize the business. v Priority on marketing opportunities at Northwest VEG events. v Business owners — Benefits of membership including discounts on products and services at participating businesses. v If Northwest VEG accepts advertising in its future newsletters, the business will receive a 20% discount on advertising rates. The business will provide: v An annual partnership contribution of $100, $250, $500, or greater. v A link to the Northwest VEG website on its own website (if applicable). v A distribution point for Northwest VEG literature, including the newsletter, when a hard copy version is published, and event flyers. v Optional — A discount of at least 10% to Northwest VEG members for its products and/or services. A discount of 5% is available for grocery stores. Alternative incentives can be developed, such as “2 for 1” meals or a second meal for half price.

Business Discounts to Northwest VEG members Businesses that meet the Northwest VEG criteria will be invited to provide members with a discount of at least 10% for their products and/or services. A discount of at least 5% will be available for grocery stores. Businesses do not need to become business partners to participate in the discount program. These businesses will be listed in the Northwest VEG newsletter and linked to the Membership page of the Northwest VEG website. Criteria for Business Partnerships and Discounts For a business to be considered for a partnership with Northwest VEG, it must be able to fulfill at least one of the following: • • • Offer vegetarian/vegan food options Offer products and/or services that promote and/or support a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle Offer a significant amount of local/organic produce
