First Analysis invests in HR outsourcing company
Achilles Group is a business process outsourcing company that becomes the HR director or department for small and mid-sized businesses. Achilles Group's performance-driven HR outsourcing model encompasses an array of services and related technology. Typical clients include entrepreneurs looking for large-company HR skills. Achilles Group serves clients in industries such as engineering, technology, manufacturing, restaurants, hotels, banks, transportation, retail, services, and construction. First Analysis recently led a $2.5 million Series A investment in Achilles Group. The funding will enable Achilles Group to expand in the southern U.S., from California to Florida, and further strengthen its service offering. The First Analysis investment team was led by Jim Macdonald and Todd Van Fleet. We worked on this opportunity with principals of the Ephor Group, who were familiar with our history of investing in human resources companies and outsourced business service providers and with whom we co-invested in Achilles Group.
