					SPSS AND SIMPLE TESTS OF DIFFERENCE AND
ASSOCIATION


Description:

Prior knowledge of the basic operation of SPSS and descriptive statistics is
assumed. This can be acquired through attendance at ‘Basic introduction to SPSS
and descriptive statistics’.

This hands-on workshop will cover statistical significance, normal distributions and
hypothesis testing. Participants will be introduced to simple tests of association
including chi square, Spearman’s rank correlation and Pearson’s correlation.
Participants will then be introduced to simple parametric and non-parametric tests of
difference including t-tests, one-way ANOVA, the Mann-Whitney U test and the
Kruskal-Wallis test.
