     The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation and Smith Barney Surprise
 John Adams Middle School Students with $50,000 in Musical Instruments

Who:               Music Students at John Adams Middle School, a single-track middle school in
                   the Los Angeles Unified School District, will receive a surprise gift of musical
                   instruments from executives with Smith Barney in Los Angeles and The Mr.
                   Holland’s Opus Foundation.

What:              The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation arranged for the donation of nearly $50,000
                   worth of musical instruments from Smith Barney in order to further promote
                   music education.

When:              Monday, February 25, 2008
                   1:00 p.m.
