                                           House Resolution No. 265

       Whereas, it is with special pleasure that the members of the Missouri House of Representatives
pause to recognize an outstanding group of young athletes who enjoyed considerable success through steadfast
commitment to the highest standards of excellence; and

       Whereas, the members of the Blue Springs High School Cheerleading Squad distinguished
themselves on November 22, 2003, by taking First Place in the Class 5A Large Coed Division of the Missouri
Cheerleading Coaches Association (MCCA) State Cheerleading Championship; and

       Whereas, the talented Blue Springs High School Cheerleaders led the loyal supporters of the
Wildcats in school spirit during several sporting events and competitions this year; and

       Whereas, the members of the Blue Springs High School Cheerleading Squad could not have
attained such phenomenal success without the exemplary leadership provided by Coaches Bryan Weyrauch,
Mike Peterman, and Stephanie Peterman, all of whom continually instilled within their students the desire to
realize their full potential; and

       Whereas, few athletes possess the athletic skill and stamina of Blue Springs High School
Cheerleading Squad members Vanessa Ayers, Keith Baldwin, Megan Baumgardner, Brenton Brinkerhoff,
Heather Franke, Landon Green, Michaela Hagerty, Monica Herbert, Bekki Holler, Nicole Langton, Alex
Marshall, Kyle Murphy, Bri Plassmeyer, Glen Pulsipher, Lauren Sharky, Jessica Shepard, Jake Stone, Becky
Stroup, Felisha Taylor, and Kaitlyn Tribble; and

       Whereas, fellow students, faculty, and staff of Blue Springs High School, parents, and the entire
community of Blue Springs are exceedingly proud of the Cheerleading Squad members for their impressive
display of teamwork and unwavering unanimity while successfully aspiring towards incredible goals:

       Now, therefore, be it resolved that we, the members of the Missouri House of
Representatives, Ninety-second General Assembly, unanimously join in extending our most hearty
congratulations to the coaches of the Blue Springs High School Cheerleading Squad at this proud moment of
well-deserved distinction; and

       Be it further resolved that the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of Representatives be
instructed to prepare a properly inscribed copy of this resolution for the coaches of the Blue Springs High
School Cheerleading Squad.
