Status – CsI detectors
40 pieces of size 19 mm × 19 mm, (13+7) mm thickness.
Photodiode (PD) read-out, tested and READY.
120 pieces of size 19 mm × 19 mm, (33+7) mm thickness.
Ordered 09/2008. To be equipped with PDs and tested during 2009.
220 pieces of size 19 mm × 19 mm, (13+7) mm thickness.
To be ordered 2009 (depending on S-FAIR funding situation)

Status – Si-DSSSD detectors
6 DSSSD wafers at Lund.
Bonding and mounting scheme established.
Action awaits final design of DSSSD-CsI module mechanics.
15 DSSSD wafers ordered.
(on hold at RADCON due to CBM microstrip development.)
30 wafers to be ordered 2009 (depending on S-FAIR funding situation)

Status – CVD diamond detectors
Prototyping of 20 mm × 20 mm wafers has started in the UK.

Status – Electronics
∼240 CsI-PD channels:
9 Cologne CSP7-200 32-channel preamps, 18 Mesytec STM16+
shaper, 9 CAEN VME ADCs and TDCs, ESTABLISHED and all
EXISTING within LYCCA collaboration.
∼1700+600 Si-strip signals:
Prototype CSP7-4000 32-ch. preamp ready (Cologne/Lund invest).
Prototype mesytec Si-Fast-Timing preamp ready (GSI/RISING invest).
HISPEC: AIDA ASICs financed via UK-LYCCA grant.
∼ 2 × 9 × 26 ∼ 500(?) diamond timing signals:
32 16-channel TACQUILA-FOPI cards (VME system) are an option.
One set of VME-modules is ready for laboratory testing and is to be
bought by Lund by the end of 2008. In-beam tests foreseen for 2009.

Status – Mechanics (Cologne)
Main LYCCA chamber designed.
Fabrication starts end of 2008.
Inner mainframe for LYCCA DSSSD-CsI modules pre-designed.
Awaits final decision on module design.
Space for a diamond wall is foreseen.
Final module design to be agreed upon in October 2008
(PG,ST,GP,CG) in a meeting at Cologne.
