Dear Parents,
Swimming – Beech Class
The children in Beech Class will be going swimming on the following dates and we would like to ask
for a voluntary contribution of £20.00 per child to go towards the cost of the swimming lessons at
Honiton Pool. The cost of transport will be borne by OSCAR. Any family in receipt of Income
Support, Job Seekers Allowance or Child Tax Credit where income is less than £15,000 can of
course be helped financially. Children will not be treated differently depending whether or not a
voluntary contribution has been made. Please contact me if payment causes a problem. Careful
records will be kept and any child not swimming will be refunded money owed. Please could the
children return the slip as soon as possible?

As previously advised the Foundation Stage and Year 1/2/3 children will be watching Sleeping
Beauty at the Northcote Theatre on Wednesday, 14th January. Beech and Oak classes will have
their trip on Thursday, 15th January. Exactly the same timings and arrangements will apply for
both trips:
We will leave school at 1pm so normal lunch time arrangements will occur. You may wish to provide
your child with an extra drink and snack (fruit or cereal bar) to have during the interval. School
uniform should be worn and spending money will not be required. If your child is liable to travel
sickness, please send in the necessary medication with a note and we will ensure it is administered
at the correct time.
The cost of transport will be covered from OSCAR funds but we ask that a voluntary contribution
of £7 is made for each child to cover the cost of the ticket. Any family in receipt of Income
Support, Job Seekers Allowance or Child Tax Credit where income is less than £15,000 can of
course be helped financially. Children will not be treated differently depending whether or not a
voluntary contribution has been made. Please contact me if payment causes a problem.
Please complete and return the attached slip as soon as possible.
