ARRIVAL INFORMATION ~ Cartwright Court & Roy Jenkins Hall

When should I collect my key?
10am to 5pm – Wednesday 16 September to Saturday 19 September
10am to 4pm – Sunday 20 September

Saturday and Sunday is expected to be extremely busy, therefore we strongly recommend that you collect your keys
and move in to your residences during the weekdays

If you are not able to arrive between the above opening times, you must contact the Assistant Residences Manager at
Cartwright Court, telephone: +44 (0)29 2046 4939 or email: DyerK@cardiff.ac.uk
Otherwise you will need to make your own arrangements for temporary accommodation on the night you arrive and
collect your key the next day.

Please note: all keys must be collected by 4pm on Sunday 20 September 2009, otherwise your allocated
residence will be withdrawn and the room offered to another student


What if I am not able to arrive by Sunday 20 September?
If there are special circumstances which mean that you will be arriving between Monday 21 September and Wednesday
23 September, you must contact the Assistant Residences Manager at Cartwright Court, telephone: +44 (0)29 2046
4939 or email: DyerK@cardiff.ac.uk
You will be given a late arrival reference number which you will be asked for on arrival.

A room will not be reserved for any late arrivals after Wednesday 23 September. Your allocated residence will
be withdrawn and the room offered to another student.


Where should I go to collect my key?
Residences Reception at Cartwright Court (see map overleaf).
Please print a copy of your online Residences Agreement and bring this with you.


How do I get there?

Is car parking available?
•   For Cartwright Court and Roy Jenkins Hall car parking is available on site for unloading only
•   Unfortunately, we can only allow 30 minutes to unload your vehicle due to the number of places available and the
    volume of people arriving
•   After unloading, on street parking is available in the local residential area. Please check parking signs for
    restrictions
DIRECTIONS
From M4 West

 Exit the motorway at junction 32 and follow the A470 into Cardiff
 When approaching the Gabalfa Interchange remain in the left hand lane and do not go over the flyover
 This will bring you to the roundabout
 Take the second exit onto the A469, sign posted Roath (1 mile), leading onto Whitchurch Road

From M4 East

 Leave the M4 at junction 29 (signposted Cardiff E and S), then join the A48(M) motorway (signposted M4 Cardiff,
 Caerdydd)
 Keep forward (signposted City Centre)
 Warning: Speed Cameras along the A48
 Branch left (signposted City Centre), then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A469 signposted Roath (1 mile),
 leading onto Whitchurch Road

FOR CARTWRIGHT COURT

 At the major crossroads (about ¾ mile) continue over into Crwys Road
 Take the fourth left turn into Monthermer Road and proceed to the end
 At the mini-roundabout turn right into Pen y Wain Road and then first right into Mackintosh Place
 Proceed along the road, take the first right into Daviot Street and follow the road around to the right
 Follow the key issue signs for Cartwright Court

FOR ROY JENKINS HALL

 At the major crossroads (about ¾ mile) continue over into Crwys Road
 Continue over into Crwys Road. Roy Jenkins Hall is on the right opposite the supermarket
