ThingsAsian is an anthology of articles, photographs, facts, artwork, and maps devoted to Asian destinations. We are concerned with all Asian cultures, focusing particularly on art, cuisine, history, and travel.

In 1994, Lisa Spivey and Albert Wen launched Destination:Vietnam, a magazine which concentrated on art, culture, history, and travel. At that time, Vietnam was just opening to the world again after years of isolation. The print magazine evolved into the web site DestinationVietnam.com, which over the years developed into the leading site on Vietnam. In 2000, we expanded our scope to include all of the fascinating destinations in Asia. And ThingsAsian.com was born.
