                  Registration Process
Doing business with the government entities requires that your
 firm be registered
•   Sales Tax ID
•   The Federal Employer Identification Numbers (FEIN or EIN), SS-4 Form.
•   The Central Contracting Registry (CCR)
•   Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS)
•   Central Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE)
•   Marketing Partners ID (MPIN)
•   Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA)
•   Government Industrial Data Mart (GIDM)
•   North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), formerly the
•   Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)
•   State of Oklahoma Vendor Registration, W-9 Form
•   City and/or county requirements, as appropriate
     Central Contracting Registry
The Central Contracting Registry (CCR) registration is
mandatory of you are to do business with the federal
government
        •   It allows you to expend a one time effort to complete federal
            government requirement and be compliant with the Federal
            Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
        •   All electronic payments from the government depend on this
            registration
        •   Doing business as a subcontractor with government prime
            contractors requires the same involvement.
        •   CCR is the database containing all vendors doing business
            with the federal government.
           Registration Steps: DUNS
•       DUNS is a Dun and Bradstreet, Inc numbering
        system which the government uses. It is your
        identification system in the government
        computers.
    –     Obtaining your DUNS number is your MANDATORY
          first step in the CCR registration process.
•       Information Required
    –     Your work contact information and generic information
    –     SSN is not requested

The Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is a central repository
    within the U.S. Treasury Dept. of information of all
    companies and agencies wanting to do business with the
    Federal Government
•   Registration can be done on line after obtaining DUNS
•   Sensitive information will be requested such as social
    security number (SSN) and baking information
•   For this reason you will be issued a Trading Partner
    Identification Number (TPIN) from CCR during the
    registration.
•   The number is your security, guard it
•   Both mandatory and optional information is requested
          Registration Steps: CAGE
•   CAGE is a five character ID number used extensively within
    the Federal Government.
      •    The Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) administers
           CAGE
      •    It provides a standardized method of identifying given facilities
           at a specific location
           –   Facilities Clearance identification
           –   Pre-Award Survey identification
           –   Automated Bidders Lists
           –   Pay processing
           –   Source of Supply
      •    The government and some prime contractors may require CAGE
           identities for each of your locations
      •    Numbers given free of charge
        Marketing Partner ID - MPIN
•   Marketing Partner ID (MPIN):
    –    A personal code that allows a CCR registrant to
         access other government
         applications like Past Performance Information
         Retrieval System (PPIRS)
       Online Representations and
    Certifications Application - ORCA
•   It replaces most paper based Representations
    and Certifications in Section K of
    solicitations with an Internet application.

•   You must register with ORCA if the
    solicitation you are responding to requires
    that you have an active registration in CCR.
    Government Industrial Data Mart -
                GIDM
•   Sponsored by DLA and DLIS, this gives you
    access to CCR, the Universal Directory of
    Commercial Items (UDCI), a global Catalog
    of items based on Commercial bar codes
    (UPC) or European Article Number (EAN)
        North American Industry
     Classification System - NAICS
•   NAICS contains considerable data, most
    importantly the Codes regarding your
    business classification which is need as part
    of CCR and other items
•   NAICS coding structure is a six digit
    hierarchical coding system
    – Divided into 20 industry sectors
    – 5 sectors are mostly for goods producing
    – 15 sectors are entirely service-producing
    Oklahoma Vendor Registration
•   In order to do business with the state of
    Oklahoma you must first complete a W-9
    FORM, “State of Oklahoma Vendor/Payee
    Form”

•   There is a one time fee of $25 to complete
