									Tree & Landscape Protection Officer
Grade H £27,052 - £30,011
Post Number DP374, 37 Hours per week

Do you care about trees? Want to improve the local environment?
Then come and help us to achieve it!

You will be working within the Parks and Open Spaces Section of Environmental Services
and will be responsible for Tree Protection Orders (TPOs)and conservation area notices
including enforcement action, advising on planning applications, checking and enforcing
of planning conditions in relation to tree and landscape matters.

You will need a HND in Arboriculture or equivalent and have proven post qualification
experience of dealing with tree and landscape protection issues, preferably in Local
Government. You should have a sound knowledge and understanding of modern
arboricultural practices and legislation. You will also collect, prepare and present evidence
at relevant forums.

You will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, along with proven
experience of producing and managing TPOs. You will be expected to undertake site and
tree surveys and will require access to a vehicle for work purposes.
