FADE IN: INT. BEDROOM – MORNING.

JASON is awake in bed smiling as he looks over at AMANDA
next to him. She opens her eyes.

                              JASON
               You like to sleep late huh?

                              AMANDA
               What time is it?

                              JASON
               Almost one.

She tries to rise but it’s more trouble than anticipated.

                              AMANDA
               Oh- my head.

                              JASON
               Yeah, that party was crazy last night.

                              AMANDA
               I was supposed to meet friends for brunch in
               the city at 2.
                              (a beat)
               Where are we?

                              JASON
               We’re in my apartment in queens.

                              AMANDA
               Oh man, I should get going.

                              JASON
               No problem. Wanna have dinner tonight?

                              AMANDA
               Uh- I don’t know. I mean, I just met you
               last night- I like to take things slow at
               the beginning.
               JASON
               (aware of the irony)
Um- we already had sex.

               AMANDA
I know.

               JASON
What else is there?

               AMANDA
What do you mean? I don’t know you.

               JASON
You’ve seen me naked. This is pretty much
it.

               AMANDA
What?

               JASON
Why waste time showing each other our social
masks when we already know what’s
underneath?

               AMANDA
It takes time to get to know someone.

               JASON
Details. Who cares about those?

               AMANDA
I do! Most people do.

               JASON
People get distracted by the details. What
do you care that I have 2 brothers and 1
restraining order against me? They didn’t
matter last night.

               AMANDA
Oh my God.
               (looking around)
Where are my clothes? Where’s my phone,
where’s all my stuff!?
                                 JASON
                                 (sinister)
               Details.

                                 AMANDA
                                 (on the verge of tears)
               What the fuck!?

AN AWKWARD BEAT.

                              JASON
                              (laughing)
               I’m just kidding. No restraining order, and
               your clothes are in the living room. I’ll go
               get them for you.
                              (a beat)
               My name’s Jason by the way.

He gets up and exits the room. Amanda is left dumbfounded.
