RESOURCES AT RISK SUMMARY (ICS FORM 232-OS)

Purpose. The Resources at Risk Summary provides information about sites in the incident area which are
sensitive due to environmental, archaeo-cultural, or socio-economic resources at risk, and identifies
incident-specific priorities and issues. The information recorded here may be transferred to ICS form 232a-OS,
which acts as a key to the Area Contingency Plan (ACP) or Geographic Response Plan (GRP) site numbers
shown on the Situation Map.

Preparation. The Environmental Unit Leader, with input from resource trustees, will complete this form for each
operational period. It should be updated prior to the Planning Meeting.

Distribution. This form must be forwarded to the Planning Section Chief for possible inclusion in the IAP. All
completed original forms MUST be given to the Documentation Unit.

1.          Incident Name                Enter the name assigned to the incident.

2.          Operational Period           Enter the time interval for which the form applies. Record the start and
                                         end date and time.

3.          Environmentally-             Enter site number, priority as it is related to degree of sensitivity, site
            Sensitive Area and           location, and description. Use the Narrative section to clarify any
            Wildlife Issues              issues.
            Site Number

            Priority                     Can come from an Area Contingency Plan (ACP) or Geographic
            Site Name and/or             Response Plan (GRP) or can be created during an incident.
            Physical Location            Priority specific to this incident.
            Site Issues

4.          Archaeo-cultural and         Name of the site (e.g., Marsh Pt., Glacier Creek, etc.) and/or physical
            Socio-economic Issues        location (e.g., address, lat/long, landmarks, etc.).
                                         Environmental concerns associated with this site and season.
                                         Enter name and position of person preparing form, and the date and
                                         time prepared. Normally would be the Environmental Unit Leader.
            Site Number                  Can come from an ACP/GRP or can be created during an incident.
            Priority                     Priority specific to this incident.
            Site Name and/or             Name of the site (e.g., Marsh Pt., Glacier Creek, etc.) and/or physical
            Physical Location            location (e.g., address, lat/long, landmarks, etc.).
            Site Issues                  Archaeo-cultural or socio-economic concerns associated with this site
                                         and season.




5.          Prepared By                  Enter name and title of the person preparing the form (normally the
                                         Environmental Unit Leader).
            Date/Time                    Enter date (month, day, year) and time prepared (24-hour clock).
