                            SHOW REPORT – MARY KALAL

I spent my annual very happy weekend in the lovely old city of Dundee and thank Gillian,
Bruce and everybody concerned with the Nor’East of Scotland Cat Club for their warm
welcome, excellent hospitality and excellent Show. Margaret Mather stewarded for me and
made my day easy with her kindness and care for the exhibits, attention to detail with the
paperwork and very pleasant company and I look forward to the next time Margaret.

ORIENTAL IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER MALE:

1 and IGP to COX GR PR KHERAF RED HOTSHOT (37d) 26.5.06. A handsome and
charming cat, the picture of health and condition; long firm well muscled body, long fine legs
with oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge
head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of clear bright green with an
excellent expression. Long elegant neck, coat short, close and gleaming, excellent texture,
bright vivid red colouring showing some pattern over his body; excellent condition and
presentation, he later went on to become BIS Oriental - congratulations.

RESERVE to BUCHAN GR PR KEELOKAN HAGEN DAZ (35) 24.6.05. A good natured
cat with a long rather portly body, long fine legs with oval paws, tail fine and good length but
needs an extra inch or so, mainly due to his weight; large ears well set and flared, even wedge
head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of dark blue with an excellent
expression. Long neck, coat short, close and shining clear white; excellent condition and
beautifully presented.

AOV SLH CHAMPION MALE:

1 and GR CH to CRAIG CH COURAGE OF GENTLE LIONS (64.31dt) 8.12.05. A big
strong male with a long muscular body, legs with large tufted paws in proportion and long
plume-like tail; ears could be larger for perfection but tufted, well furnished and well set, head
slightly longer than wide with a concave curve to broad nose, high cheek bones, broad
muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes oblique set and hazel colour with an excellent
expression. Coat silky and fairly double with ruff and breeches developing, rich red tabby
colouring attractively patched with pristine white; excellent condition and well presented.

RESERVE to WILSON CH JULESCOON TOTO (64.41) 1.2.08. A promising young male,
well developed for his age and who could be a stunner when he matures; long firm well
muscled body, strong legs with large tufted paws and long tail developing well; ears quite
large, well furnished and with large tufts, medium length head, slight concave curve to broad
nose, muzzle fairly broad, good chin and level bite; eyes large, oblique set, hazel colour dark
rimmed and with a typical expression. Coat silky and developing well with a good ruff and
breeches and showing a very good classic tabby pattern in warm brown colours; excellent
condition and beautifully presented.

AOV SLH CHAMPION FEMALE:

1 and GR CH to WRIGHT CH COONTASTIC BLUE VELVET (64.31gsw) 17.3.07. A feisty
female, typical tortie, showing excellent size, boning and type with a firm muscular body,
strong legs with large tufted paws and balanced tail which appeared to be a little over-
groomed today; ears large, tufted, furnished and well set, balanced head longer than wide,
slight concave curve to profile, good broad muzzle, firm chin and level bite; eyes large,
oblique set and hazel colour, dark rimmed. Coat silky and developing, showing a very
attractive blue tortie-tabby pattern on a silvery base, patched with white; excellent condition
and most beautifully presented.

RESERVE to SKILLING CH CHEHAM TIGERLILLEY (66at) 20.9.07. A very pretty
female with a lovely expression; firm well muscled body, legs and tufted paws in proportion,
tail balanced, bushy and well ringed; ears medium, wide set and forward tilted, broad head,
dip and slight retrousse tip to profile, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large,
well set and vivid blue with a sweet expression. Silky coat well developed with a good ruff
and knickerbockers, blue tabby markings on points, some body shading in tone, excellent
condition and beautifully presented.

AV ORIGINAL FSH CHAMPION FEMALE:

1 and GR CH to THOMSON GR CH SALADIN SOFTNGENTLE (23) 25.4.06. A very
pretty female with a lovely expression; firm lithe body, long legs with oval paws and tapered
balanced tail slightly thick at base; ears large, tufted and wide set, balanced head showing
gentle contours, slight break to profile, rounded muzzle with indentation, firm chin and level
bite; eyes large, full almond shape and green colour, clear pigmentation markings on face.
Coat short, close and shining, excellent texture and showing lovely rich colouring very well
ticked in black on an apricot base, darker dorsal line and tail tip, some slight inner barring on
her front legs, full heels, some pale cream around her lips and chin, excellent condition and
beautifully presented.

RESERVE to STARK CH DUSHENKA SOPHIA BELLA (16a) 18.10.04. Another pretty
female with a lovely expression typical of the Russian breed; ears large, narrow and high set,
short head with a flat skull, angle there, slight curve to profile, broad muzzle with prominent
whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes of full almond shape and emerald green colour.
Coat short, medium blue colour with an excellent shine, dense around her neck and shoulders
but rather sleek over her back at present, excellent condition and well presented.

EGYPTIAN MAU ADULT MALE:

1 CC and BOB to DICKSON ADSETSH KITTENKAMUN (78.30s) 4.3.07. A strong male
with a typically worried expression; firm muscular body, legs and paws in proportion, tail
tapered, balanced and well banded; ears moderately large, rounded and well set, head curves
to a rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large and gooseberry green, dark rimmed.
Coat short and close showing a clean well spotted pattern on a silvery white base-coat, legs
showing spots and bars; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

EGYPTIAN MAU ADULT FEMALE:

1 and CC to FORBES ACCLAIM WEESAMS TIYE (78.30s) 4.3.07. A pretty female who
was slightly tense; firm well muscled body, legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered,
balanced and well banded; ears quite large, rounded and well set, wide at base, head curves to
a rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large gooseberry green colour, dark rimmed
and with an excellent expression. Coat close and with an excellent shine and texture, very
well spotted pattern but with a fairly wide dark dorsal line down her back and tail to the tip;
spotted pattern is on a darkish but clean silvery base with just a touch of tarnish on her nose
and muzzle at present; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

DEVON REX NEUTER MALE:

BOB to SINCLAIR GR PR CLOUDBORN MR PINK (33a 30ds) 19.10.02. A mature cat of
very good type and balance with a firm muscular body, long fine legs with small oval paws
and long fine tapered tail well covered; ears large, wide at base and low set, broad short head
with high cheek bones, stop to profile, broad muzzle with whisker break, good chin and level
bite; eyes large, well set and hazel colour with a wicked expression (I loved his mischievous
look!). Long neck; coat covers his back with short fine fur showing waves over his lower
back, under-parts, around his neck an on his shoulders are patches of very short suede-like
fur; excellent condition and well presented.

PC not awarded.

1 to SINCLAIR CLOUDBORN KITERUNNER (33a30d) 1.4.08. A young cat with a firm
well muscled body, long fine legs with small oval paws and tapered well covered tail to
balance; ears large, tufted, wide at base and low set, broad short head with high cheek bones,
profile almost straight with little sign of a break, the reason for not awarding the PC; good
broad muzzle, chin shallow, level bite; eyes large, well set and amber colour. Coat silky, dark
red colour and covers his body in even waves, under-parts well covered; excellent condition
and well presented.

DEVON REX NEUTER FEMALE:

1 and PC to MAITLAND CLOUDBORN LARKRISE (33a31dt) 1.4.08. A slightly tense
female but she handled well; firm lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long
fine tapered tail that is well covered; ears large, wide at base and low set, broad head with a
small stop which needs to be more defined for perfection, high cheeks, broad muzzle with
whisker break, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and expressive, yellow colour.
Coat silky and well waved over her body and under-parts, rich dark red colouring patched
with pristine white; excellent condition and presentation.

2 to MCRAE VELVAREX AMLACH (33a30e) 26.11.07. A young female with a lithe body,
dainty legs and paws and balanced tapered well covered tail; ears large, tufted, wide at base
but slightly high until she relaxed, short head with a slight stop to profile, muzzle a little fine
until she puffed her whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes large, rather rounded and
green colour. Coat silky and covers her body in waves; excellent condition and beautifully
presented.

BROWN MARBLED BENGAL NEUTER:

BOB to COULTER PR JACOU MARBELLA (76.20) 3.4.06. A beautiful female with a long
firm well muscled body, legs and rounded paws in proportion, tail even and balanced; ears
rounded, moderate and well set, balanced head, neat and with a curve to broad nose, puffed
leather, good broad muzzle with prominent whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes large,
well set and emerald green colour with an excellent expression. Coat short close and dense,
silky texture showing beautiful rich colours and lots of glitter; excellent marbled pattern in
black and brown on a rich coppery background; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

BROWN SPOTTED BENGAL NEUTER:

BOB to COULTER PR JACOU TRIBAL HUNTER (76.30) 21.3.06. A big strong cat with a
long firm well muscled body, legs and large rounded paws in proportion, tail even and
balanced; ears a little large but rounded and well set, balanced head, curve to broad nose,
puffed leather, broad muzzle with whisker break, chin rounds off a little, bite meets; eyes
large, well set and vivid green colour, dark rimmed. Coat dense and close, showing a well
spotted pattern on a rich rufous background, also with glitter, excellent condition and
beautifully presented.

OCICAT NEUTER FEMALE:
1 PC and BOB to MCRAE BALLEGO FOREVERINBLUEGENES(73a) 2.9.06. A shy but
good natured female with a firm body, legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered, balanced and
well ringed; ears large, well set and showing thumbprints, balanced head, dip in profile, broad
muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes of oval shape and green colour. Coat silky and close
lying, excellent shine and texture, dark blue colouring over her body showing darker spotting
on a slightly lighter background along her back, paler contrast on her sides, and warm
mushroom on her under-parts, back of legs and tail; excellent condition and beautifully
presented.

ORIENTAL SHADED ADULT FEMALE:

1 CC and BOB to TOSUN SAITAN MISS TEASE (43b) 28.4.08. A fine boned female with a
long lithe body, long legs with small oval paws and long fine tail well ringed; ears large,
lightly tufted and well set, long wedge head, straight profile, chin rounds off slightly, bite
level; oriental eyes of hazel green, excellent expression. Long neck, coat short and close with
an excellent shine and texture, a standard shaded pattern showing a ticked pattern in dark
chocolate on a clear bronze coloured base-coat, some barring on legs and scarab on top of
head; excellent condition and well presented.

ORIENTAL CINNAMON KITTEN, MALE:

1 and BOB to HEWSON EMERPUS DANTE (37k) 14.11.08. A good natured little male with
a long lithe body, long fine legs and fine balanced tail; large ears well set and flared, long
wedge head with a small kitten pinch, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite;
oriental eyes of clear green colour with an excellent expression. Long neck, coat short and
close, showing even warm cinnamon colouring; excellent condition and well presented.

FOREIGN WHITE NEUTER MALE:

1 PC and BOB to BUCHAN GR PR KEELOKAN HAGEN DAZ (35).

CARAMEL POINT SIAMESE ADULT MALE:

1 CC and BOB to ROBB RIVANESS BERTIE WOOSTER (24n) 9.3.08. A handsome young
male with a long firm body, long fine legs and very long fine tail; large ears of excellent set
and flare, evenly balanced wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes
of vivid blue colour with an excellent expression. Long elegant neck, coat short and close
showing caramel points colouring, body has some shading in tone but does have contrast;
excellent condition and beautifully presented.

RED POINT SIAMESE KITTEN, MALE:

1 and BOB to RANKIN KHERAF RED SENTINEL (32a) 28.11.08. A big strong young male
with a long firm well muscled body, long fine legs and long fine tail; large ears of excellent
set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental
eyes of vivid blue. Coat short and close with rich dark red points, body shaded in tone;
excellent condition and beautifully presented.

SEAL POINT SIAMESE NEUTER FEMALE:

1 PC and BOB to SPENCE SCOTMAR SIMPLY MAJIC (24) 14.9.07. A beautiful female
who was very tense and preferred her pen; long firm well muscled body, long fine legs and
fine balanced tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, almost
straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely deep vivid blue. Coat short,
close and shining with dense seal points, body shaded in tone but, again, she does have
contrast; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

BLUE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER FEMALE:

BOB to SPENCE PR SCOTMAR CLASSIE LASSIE (24a) 9.4.07. A fine boned and dainty
female of very good type and balance; long lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws
and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight
profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely deep blue with an excellent
expression. Long neck, coat short and close, points of medium blue, body has some shading
in tone, excellent condition and beautifully presented.

AV Pedigree Fireside Feline Resident Elsewhere in Scotland (two gorgeous cats present,
either of which would grace anybody’s fireside):

very good type and lovely rich colouring; well balanced body and tail; large wide set ears,
balanced head showing gentle contours, break to profile, rounded muzzle with indentation
good chin and level bite; eyes of amber colour and excellent expression; some pale cream
around her lips, well ticked body, darker dorsal line and tail tip, bright apricot base-coat

AC SELF ORIENTAL ADULT:

1 to LINTON SIARUNG THEFUTUREISORANGE (37f) 2.8.08. A handsome young male
with a long lithe body, long fine legs and long fine tail; large ears well flared but held slightly
high, long wedge head which needs more width across his eyes, straight profile, good chin
and level bite; oriental eyes of clear green. Long neck, coat short and close showing dark
cream colouring; excellent condition and well presented.

AC NON-SELF ORIENTAL ADULT:

1 to MICHIE FISEPO BLUE SOLEIL (48.40g) 12.7.08. A lovely young female of excellent
type, just an adult, with large ears of excellent set and flare, medium length wedge head,
straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes, colour brilliant vivid blue. Long neck,
coat short and close, points cleanly patched in blue-based caramel and apricot on a paler
background also attractively patched with pristine white; excellent condition and well
presented. Rather than wrong colour her I thought it more useful to place her and write her up
for what she is.

2 to WALLACE KHARDAGIA TAIWANTU (32.1) 18.11.07. A pretty female, fine boned
dainty and of very good type and balance; long lithe body, fine legs and paws and long fine
well ringed tail; large ears well set and flared, medium length wedge head, slight bump on
profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes, colour appeared to be very good. Long neck,
coat short and close, seal tabby markings on points, body shaded in tone; excellent condition
and presentation.
3 to ROBB RIVANESS BERTIE WOOSTER.

AC SIAMESE ADULT NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR:

1 to BRASH RIVANESS MIZ PRISSY (32.2) 10.3.08. A very pretty female of lovely type
and balance with large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good
chin and level bite; oriental eyes of vivid blue. Long neck; coat short and close, blue tabby
markings on points and clear cool tone to body; excellent condition and presentation.

2 to MICHIE DEBIKAT JOSETHESPECIALONE (32.3) 1.10.07. A handsome young male
with a long lithe body, long fine legs and fine balanced well ringed tail; large well set ears,
medium length wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes,
slightly deep set, vivid colour. Coat short and close, chocolate tabby markings on points and a
clear ivory body colour; excellent condition and presentation.

3 to GIBSON RIVANESS QUALITY STREET (24a) 1.8.08.

AV ORIENTAL/SIAMESE OR BALINESE DEBUTANTE KITTEN:

1 to GIBSON KHERAF GERALDO (24) 28.11.08. A well developed and strong young male
of very good type and balance with a long lithe body, long fine legs and long fine tail; large
ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin
and level bite; Oriental eyes of lovely vivid colour. Long neck; coat short and close, dense
seal points and warm beige body colour, excellent condition and well presented.
