Introduction of Hanjin new tariff surcharges for BAF, CAF, THC in European
trade

Dear Valued Customers,

As of 18 October 2008, the antitrust immunity to liner shipping conferences for Europe
trade will be abolished. From that date, liner conferences on trade routes to and from
the EU will be prohibited.

For this reason Hanjin will introduce its own new formulas for Bunker Adjustment
Factor (BAF), Currency Adjustment Factor (CAF) and Terminal Handling Charges
(THC) as below.

 1. Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF)

Our new BAF formula is developed based on our actual bunker consumption, main
bunkering ports’ market bunker rate, sailing days, etc. New BAF will be implemented
from 1 October and updated on the first of every month.

    BAF in October

                                               Amount(USD)
          Scope(To and From) Effective date
                                            TEU FEU
  N.S. Asia – North Europe 728 1456
  N.S. Asia – South Europe 727 1454
  IPBC / Middle East – North Europe 446 892
                                                                        01-Oct-08
  IPBC / Middle East – South Europe 446 892
  U.S.A – North Europe 352 704
  U.S.A – South Europe 449 898
2. Currency Adjustment Factor (CAF)

The new CAF formula is updated every month along with the BAF according to
currency rate fluctuation of 16 countries selected based on gross revenue and there is
no difference among North/South Asia, IPBC (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri
Lanka) and the Middle East.

    CAF in October

Scope(To and From) Amount (%) Effective date
    Asia / IPBC / Middle East - Europe 18.67% 01-Oct-08

3. Terminal Handling Charges (THC)

The new THC’s are decided based on our actual costs. The table for the new THC’s
is attached, and in the future, the costs will be reviewed on a regularly basis.

Dear Valued Customer,

Tariff: HJSC-300

Effective: October 1st, 2008

As you may or may not know many TPW carriers (WTSA) have been working on developing a
simpler more transparent formula for calculating Trans‐Pacific Westbound Bunker costs.

Effective October 1st this new formula will be implemented for dry cargo shipments.  The new
Bunker formula is based on Transit Times, Fuel consumption; fuel Price per MT & Max Loadable
Cargo, which will result in separate Bunker levels for the East Coast and the West Coast. Bunker
will still be formulated on a monthly basis and a slightly modified formula will be implemented
for refrigerated cargo effective November 1st. In the meantime all refrigerated cargo will maintain
the existing Bunker formula.

Please see October Bunker Levels as follows:
