					How to…find information
about a particular career
Do you want to find detailed information about a career which interests you?

Manchester Metropolitan University Employability & Careers Service
An Occupational Profile will tell you:

   • What the job involves
   • How much you would earn
   • Entry and training requirements
   • Who might employ you and where to find vacancies
   • About other websites and publications to further your research

Occupational Profiles can be found on Prospects Web (www.prospects.ac.uk),
which is the official student and graduate careers website.

 Click on the ‘Jobs and Work’ button from the green menu across the top
 Choose ‘Explore Types of Jobs’
 Either use the A – Z index to find a specific job, e.g. ’S’ for Sports Coach
 Or, use the job families; e.g. for sport, look at ‘Leisure, Sport and Tourism’,
click on Sport and Leisure, and then find the job title which interests you
        from the list

Explore the other menu buttons on the Prospects home page to find detailed
information about options with your subject, vacancies, applications and much
more.
