VMBIP Updates
 An All-Grantee Message was sent December 10 providing clarification on McKesson shipping dates
in December and January. That message is being reposted in this newsletter.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We would like to update and correct information provided to you about McKesson shipping dates during
December and January that was included in the October 24 weekly newsletter.

During the week of December 22, providers can anticipate receiving routine vaccine shipments on
Tuesday, December 23 and urgent/emergency shipments only on Wednesday December 24.
During the week of December 29, providers can anticipate receiving routine vaccine shipments on
Tuesday, December 30 and urgent/emergency shipments only on Wednesday December 31.

If you would like all providers in your jurisdiction to NOT RECEIVE shipments during any of these dates or
other dates during the upcoming holidays, please submit that information directly to McKesson Specialty
Customer Care at cdccustomerservice@mckesson.com no later than COB Tuesday, December 16.
Requests to hold shipments for an entire jurisdiction cannot be accommodated after that time. Please
use the following format to communicate with McKesson Specialty Customer Service:
             o Grantee: ____________________
o Ensure that providers DO NOT RECEIVE shipments the following dates in
                 December 2008: _________
o Ensure that providers DO NOT RECEIVE shipments the following dates in
                 January 2009: _________

For grantees who have already communicated with McKesson Specialty Customer Service about the
upcoming holidays, you only need to communicate again if this update and correction changes the
information that you sent previously. If it does, please contact McKesson Specialty Customer Service no
later than COB Tuesday, December 16.

In summary, grantees only need to take action in response to this email if (1) you would like all providers
in your jurisdiction to NOT RECEIVE shipments during the days noted above or (2) corrections are
needed to your previous communications with McKesson Specialty Customer Service regarding this
issue.

We apologize for any confusion on this issue and appreciate your help in getting this information to
McKesson Specialty Customer Service prior to the deadline so that we can ensure that vaccine
shipments do not arrive on dates in which your providers may be closed for the holidays.

If you have questions about this message, please contact Sally Somerfeldt ssomerfeldt@cdc.gov or
Helen Kuykendall hkuykendall@cdc.gov.
