ASK JEEVES UK TO BENEFIT FROM EXPEDIA
               SEARCH TECHNOLOGY

Expedia.co.uk, the UK‟s leading full service online travel company,
announced today that it has partnered with Ask Jeeves (ask.co.uk), the UK‟s
most popular search engine*, to provide comprehensive travel search results.
The collaboration is thought to be the first of its kind with a travel agent
providing search results for a search engine.

Every time a user asks Jeeves a travel-related question, amongst the relevant
answers delivered will be a set of „metasearch‟ results from Expedia. By
selecting one of these, the user will be taken directly to the appropriate page
on Expedia‟s site without having to ask the question again, thus speeding up
their search for flight, hotel and car hire information.

As well as a comprehensive flight booking service of over 450 airlines,
including up to 700,000 discounted fares at any one time, and a database of
over 70,000 hotels and lodgings throughout the world, Expedia also offers
world guides, comprehensive maps, currency converters and airport guides to
aid the consumer providing everything for travel.

Mike Potts, product manager stated: “This is an important strategic agreement
for us, especially as we are the first online travel company to strike such a
deal. We believe that Ask Jeeves users will reap the benefits of our fully
comprehensive travel offering and excellent customer support service.”

Adrian Blair, business development manager at Ask Jeeves UK, said: “We are
all about helping people find what they are looking for on the web quickly and
easily. By including Expedia as a metasearch partner, we can add real value
for our users by taking all the effort out of their search for travel information.”
