The Conservative Party will be holding the annual Party Conference at
The ICC on Sunday 28 September – Wednesday 1 October 2008.

Who is entitled to attend?
Every paid up member of the Conservative Party may apply to attend Party

Where is it and when?
This year’s Conservative Party Conference is being held at the International
Convention Centre, Birmingham from Sunday 28th September to Wednesday 1st
October 2007.

What happens at Conference?
As well as the debates and speeches in the main hall that you will have seen
on TV there are hundreds of other events in and around the Conference.
These include a large exhibition from organisations and companies from
across the UK, hundreds of fringe events with speeches and debates from a
number of organisations and pressure groups and a number of receptions and
social events. Conference is also an ideal way to meet other party members
and campaigners and build new contacts and friendships.

What Information will I need to provide?
As well as a number of personal details you will be asked to provide two of
the following pieces of information:
   • Your UK Passport number
   • Your UK Driving Licence Number

Please note: If you do not have either of these documents then please tick, “I
declare that I do not have a Driving Licence/Passport” and you will be
contacted in due course by West Midlands Police or a member of the
Accreditation Team.

It is sensible to have these ready before starting your online application
If you have not been to Party Conference in 2006 or 2007 you will also be
asked to provide details of someone to act as a countersignature. This person
must not be a relative/partner.

Do I have to apply online?
No, you can ask for a paper application form, however there is an extra
administrative fee for such applications (see prices below). This can be
obtained from your Local Constituency or by contacting Fingerprint Events.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?

Payment can be made online using a credit or debit card.

Can I only go for 1 day?
Yes, but you still need to complete the application form as if you were
attending for a week.

I am only going to the National Convention; do I still need to apply?
Yes, the National Convention is taking place within the secure area and a
photographic conference pass will be required for admittance.

How can I book accommodation?
The event organisers have secured a variety of hotel types in and around
Birmingham.     To book your hotel accommodation, please go to: or call 0121 202 5151.

Can I speak at conference?
Yes, more details will be sent with your pass or contact the Speakers’ Table in
the main hall at Conference. When the Agenda is published online look out
for the ‘contribute now’ link, where you can indicate that you would like to
speak at this debate.

How will I know when my pass is ready?
You will receive regular emails from our Conference management company,
Fingerprint Events, who will let you know when your pass has been received
and passed the various stages of accreditation. Passes are sent out in early
September and you will receive an email informing you when your pass is
being sent out.

I have moved house, what should I do?
If you have moved house please send two copies of identification, one stating
your old address and one stating your new address e.g. Council Tax bill etc.

If you do not let us have your new address and you do not receive your pass,
you will be charge a re-issue fee of £30.
