SAFE HANDLING – TRAIN THE TRAINER - MODULE G

Rationale - STATUTORY
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require all employers to
undertake training for their employees in safe manual handling techniques and most
importantly for the assessment and supervision of safe manual handling practices in
the workplace.
A cost effective approach to deliver this requirement is the use of ‘key trainers’ who
have been trained to undertake risk assessments, the training of other staff, problem
solving and regular workplace supervision.
