07/01/09 -- Akimeka personnel coordinated a conference call with Intrado and the Hawaii
On-going County PSAP to review their request for certification to allow Telematics service
providers (Hughes and ATX) to send 9-1-1 calls via Hawaii's native 9-1-1
                  network.
The call was held on July 14, 2009 and meeting minute notes were distributed by
Akimeka. Based on testing issues and the lack of confidence percentages, the
certification was declined at this time by the Hawaii County PSAP.

07/01/09 -- Hawaii County Police PSAP and Akimeka personnel delayed end-to-end testing
Ongoing with OnStar. Tentative testing has been scheduled for the end of August 2009.

07/07/09 Akimeka personnel reviewed Hawaii County Boundary Maps sent by Intrado for
                  the Telematics deployment.
07/08/09 Akimeka personnel attended a Next Generation demonstration presented by

testing on an open trouble ticket in which a 9-1-1 call was incorrectly routed to
another PSAP. All test calls routed correctly and the trouble ticket was closed.
07/13/09 Akimeka personnel met with the State of Hawaii EMS Director regarding Hawaii
County EMS mapping projects and possibilities.
07/16/09 Akimeka personnel reviewed Plant CML's Hawaii PSAP Study -- 9-1-1 State of
the System Comprehensive Study of Hawaii PSAPs. Akimeka's review notes
were shared with the Hawaii County PSAP.
07/21/09 Akimeka personnel notified the Hawaii County PSAP that AT&T Mobility was
encountering network trouble. The wireless phones were not registering and
customers could not make or receive calls. The trouble began at approximately
1:44 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time (HST). Unfortunately, AT&T Mobility could not
provide an estimated time of restoral.
Akimeka personnel continued to monitor the out-of-service situation and provided
updates to the Hawaii County PSAP when available.
AT&T Mobility's 3G network was totally restored at 10:14 p.m. HST. It was also
reported that the 2G network was operational so 9-1-1 call processing should not
                  have been affected.

Current Month GIS Activities – July 2009

07/20/09 Akimeka personnel assisted Hawaii County Fire to research and resolve 23
ANI/ALI reported discrepancies. All have been researched, appropriate
discrepancies submitted via 9-1-1Net, and necessary changes completed.
07/20/09 Akimeka GIS personnel started work on creating a quick reference guide on how
                     to use PowerMap.

07/23/09 Akimeka personnel received a call from the Hawaii County PSAP that the Sentry
Server had a warning alarm. It was discovered that the UPS battery was dead,
which shut down the Sentry Server and computer. Hawaii County PSAP
personnel replaced the UPS battery system which turned the Sentry Server and
computer back on. Akimeka personnel reset the Sentry Server remotely.
07/24/09 Akimeka personnel responded to a call from the Hawaii County PSAP regarding
one of the Pictometry Hard Drives. It was reported that the computer could not
read the drive. Akimeka personnel were able to remotely check the problem and
contacted David Peck from Pictometry. David Peck's suggestions were relayed
                     to the Hawaii County PSAP.
Working together, Sergeant Ing, Akimeka personnel and David Peck from
Pictometry were able to resolve the problem.
07/24/09 Hawaii County Fire dispatchers approached Akimeka requesting a map that
would allow them to search for addresses and landmarks, draw graphics, and
print maps. PowerMap unfortunately does not have drawing capabilities and is
                     not connected to a printer.
After researching a couple of free mapping applications, Akimeka decided to
build an ArcReader map that will have the main functions available in PowerMap
plus the ability to draw features and print maps.
