      What:     The Year of the Air Force Family is a means to convey information to
                Airmen, family members, surrounding communities and DoD
                audiences about the variety of programs offered by the Air Force. It also
                provides an opportunity to recognize and acknowledge the sacrifices our
                Airmen and their families make in protecting our freedoms. The
                campaign will be used to highlight programs already in place and to
                develop new programs that will enhance the lives of Airmen and their
                families.

      When:    Through July 2010 with special observance of Air Force Family Week,
               November 1 to 7, 2009.

      Where: Air Force bases worldwide (approx 100)

      Why:     We recognize the direct link between Quality of Service and its impact
               on recruiting, retention and, ultimately, our mission capability.

      How:      Throughout the year, new or enhanced programs that support Airmen and
                their families with quality of life activities will be released.

      Program:
       Interactive contests will be conducted online at www.myairforcelife.com
         Participants can submit their T-shirt design, write a short story, submit a video,
         snap an award winning photo or share a “Pearl of Wisdom” all relating to life in
         the Air Force. Grand prizes will be awarded in the five (5) categories along with
         runners up and a variety of instant wins.

      Target Market:
       Total Force Airmen, (Active Duty, Guard and Reserve) civilians and their families
         as well as retired Airmen for a total of 2.5 million members who generate more
         than $30 million in annual sales.
