NO PRE-ENTRIES ACCEPTED PRIOR TO A POSTMARK DATE OF JANUARY 4, 2010.
PRE-ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY JANUARY 29, 2010 – Entries must have clearly
visible USPS postmark. No meter mail allowed. No DHL. UPS, telephone, email, faxed entries will
be accepted. Overnight entries accepted only if signature is waived. Incomplete entry forms
including registration numbers and entries received without registration papers will NOT be accepted.
Please make sure your entry form includes the dog’s call name and your e-mail address.
Registered owner of dog must submit entry check with their name on the check & send a copy of
the dogs registration/tracking # form showing registered owner with the entry form!



                      SILVER BELT BUCKLES
WILL BE GIVEN ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15TH, FOR A 3-DAY HIGH COMBINED
SCORE AUSSIE (WTCH & NON-WTCH) HIGH COMBINED OTHER BREED, MOST
PROMISING STARTED AUSSIE AND MVA. To qualify for any of the 3-day buckle awards, the
same dog must be entered in all three days on all three stocks. MUST ENTER UNDER
ADDITIONAL CLASS ON ENTRY FORMS.
 MOST PROMISING STARTED AUSSIE (MPSA) AND MOST PROMISING
                  OTHER BREED (MPSOB)
Dog must be entered on all 3 stocks. MUST ENTER UNDER ADDITIONAL CLASSES ON
ENTRY FORM. Dogs entered in this class are not eligible for other High Combined awards. You do
not have to qualify, but qualifying scores will take precedence over non-qualifying scores.




  HIGH COMBINED AUSSIE (HCA) & HIGH COMBINED OTHER BREED
                          (HCOB)
Dog must be entered on all 3 stocks. MUST ENTER UNDER ADDITIONAL CLASSES ON
ENTRY FORM. You do not have to qualify, but qualifying scores will take precedence over non-
qualifying scores.


               HIGH IN TRIAL CHAMPION OF RECORD (HITCH)
Australian Shepherd must be a Conformation Champion. You do not have to qualify, but qualifying
scores will take precedence over non-qualifying scores. MUST EN
TER UNDER ADDITIONAL CLASSES ON ENTRY FORM.



Awards:              Ribbons and/or awards will be given for 1st – 4th place, High Score Ducks
                     Aussie/OB, High Score Cattle Aussie/OB, High Score Sheep Aussie/OB, High
                     Score Working Junior, High Score Open Working Junior, Most Promising
                     Started Aussie/OB, High Combined Aussie/OB, High in Trial Aussie/OB and
                     High in Trial Champion of Record.

    OTHER INFORMATION:
   Entry fee refunds will be issued after close of pre-entries only if there is a waiting list and somebody takes
    your run.
   Substitutions will be allowed only with a dog owned by the same person making the original entry.
   Entry fee to be made by Check/Cashiers Check/Money Order in Registered Owners name ONLY!
   Entries received without proper signatures, fees, information, registration papers, etc. will be deemed
    incomplete and will not be accepted.
   Registered Owner of dog shall be responsible for replacement cost of livestock at the following prices:
    DUCKS - $30.00 per head, SHEEP - $200.00 per head, CATTLE $500.00 per head unless trialers are
    notified otherwise at trial time.
   Confirmation of entries shall be made via email or self-addressed stamped envelope (if supplied).
   The Trial Committee will draw run order prior to the trial.
   Bitches in season will run in order.
   This trial shall be run under all ASCA Rules and Regulations.
    A $25 service fee will apply to all returned checks. Returned checks will not constitute an accepted
    entry.

    Weather:              Please be prepared for any type of weather for both you and your
                          dog. Bring shade and foul weather gear.

    Food:
                          Lunches will be available for purchase to all trailers. Please help support
                          ASC of AZ Juniors by purchasing lunch.

                          Saturday and Sunday there will be potluck dinners. Everyone is
                          welcome please bring your favorite dish to share. Please email
                          Lisa and let her know what dish you’ll be bringing.

    RV Parking:           Self Contained RV spaces are available on site for $10 per night.

From Phoenix:
 I-10 east toward Tucson, take the Sunland Gin Rd exit 200. Turn right (south) onto Sunland Gin Rd
and set your trip meter to zero, take Sunland approximately 17 miles (watch your speed going
through Arizona City) then turn right (west) on Aries. Turn left (south) on Henness Road (trip meter
should be about 18.6). Turn left (east) onto Cancer and watch for yellow house on right (trip meter
should be about 19.7).



From Tucson

Awards: Winners of the following will receive an award and/or rosette and /or ribbon: High in Trial, High Score Aussie,
High Score Other Breed, High Combined (Open B & Utility), High Score Junior, 1st thru 4th place, & Qualifying Scores.
General Information: All events will be governed by the rules and regulation of The Australian Shepherd Club of
America, which will be strictly enforced. Incomplete entries will not be accepted. All changes of entries must be received
in writing and postmarked prior to the close of entry. A $25.00 service fee will be applied to all returned checks.




                               MOST VERSATILE AUSSIE BUCKLE AWARD
Open to Australian Shepherds only. To be eligible for this award, the words “MOST VERSATILE AUSSIE” must be
entered on the “Additional Class” line of both the obedience and working entry forms. A rosette will be given to all
qualifiers for this award. A Buckle and/or rosette will be offered to the winner of this award.

This award is based upon the dog’s combined performance in all three areas of competition. To earn the Most Versatile
Aussie Award, each entry must earn a score from the Conformation Evaluation and a qualifying score from a regular
Stock Dog class, and a regular Obedience class. Ties for awarding the Most Versatile Aussie Award and placements will
be broken using the highest Stock Dog score as calculated for MVA points. In case that a tie still exists, the dog with the
highest conformation score as calculated for MVA points will win. If a tie still exists than both dogs will receive an award.

Conformation Evaluation

     1.        Ninety points are available. The form and point schedule used will be provided to the evaluator.
     2.        This class will not be placed and no awards will be given. The score given by the evaluator will be used.
     3.        This class is open to spayed and neutered animals as well as intact animals.

Stock Dog

     1.        The one highest qualifying score from Started, Open, Advanced, Ranch Dog * or Post-Advanced * over the
               entire weekend will be used to compute MVA points. (*if offered)

Obedience

     1.        The highest qualifying score from a regular class will be used to compute MVA points.
     2.        Bitches in season are restricted from participating in the Most Versatile Aussie Award.
