									Anatomy of an Ask Teleseminar
General Notes:
We created a plan for a $1 teleseminar that promotes a $67 ebook/Ecourse called Ten Percent
More. This week we will walk through the timeline and steps for creating this teleseminar. For
the next two weeks we will delve deeper into the actual how-to of some of those steps.

The timeline goes from 4-6 weeks before the call all the way through creating the CD and
transcript product. This timeline is for a specific teleseminar project so we can see exactly what
to do when. I also have a more general timeline that is the joint creation of a group from Alex’s
class that has been doing some calls on its own to create a timeline. That is included as a bonus
on the resource page.

Last week we went over setting up a website, so this timeline assumes you already have a
website up and running, and are only adding the pieces for this teleseminar.

Alex and others often talk about their “list” as though it is a single entity. For a campaign like
this one, you may get better results if you break your “list” into several lists in order to get the
most personalized information to each person. What to send to each and when will be shown in
the timeline.

For this project we will break the emails you send out into 4 categories. The first is your
Affiliates. They need specialized information. The second is your Prospects- anyone you have a
name and email for (from your list or someone else’s) that you might like to tell about your
teleseminar. The third is Respondents, which is anyone who responds to your Ask campaign.
The fourth is Attendees, which are all of those who have signed up for the teleseminar. There are
also times when you may want to send out the same or very similar messages to all of these
categories, in which case I will say send to All.

      are using.

Bridge line and recording:
   1. Set up bridgeline if you don’t have one
   2. Choose primary and secondary recording methods
   3. Test lines and recordings! Have a friend call in and help check:
           a. Volume- you and them
           b. Quality of recording
           c. Check that beeps are off
           d. Head sets and phone quality
           e. Know how to :
                   i. Start and stop recordings
                  ii. Turn off call waiting if you have it
                 iii. Put call into lecture mode
                 iv. Do anything else you might want to do- check all options your bridge line
                      offers, such as roll call, number of participants, and so on.
                  v. Check which things your callers can hear if you do them during the call,
                      such as checking how many people are on the line, etc.
