Ambassador Edward (Ed) Rowell by hcj


									                AMBASSADOR EDWARD (ED) ROWELL
        Ambassador Rowell spent 38 years in the U.S. Foreign Service. He was Ambassador
to Bolivia, Luxembourg, and Portugal, and Deputy Principal Assistant Secretary of State for
Consular Affairs. He also had postings in Argentina, Brazil, and Honduras. He is on the
board of directors of both the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training and the
American Academy of Diplomacy, and Diplomatic and Consular Officers, Retired (DACOR).

       In addition, he lectures on U.S. foreign relations, he is a business consultant, and is a
director of Sourcecorp, Inc. (SRCP on the NASDAQ), a national outsource provider of
document and information management services.

       Ed grew up in central California, received a bachelor’s degree from Yale University,
did graduate studies in history at Stanford, and completed the Sloan Executive Program at
Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also served two years in the U.S. Army. Honors
include the Presidential Merit Award and two Superior Honor Awards. He also received
awards from both Bolivia and Luxembourg. Ed is married to Le Rowell.
